I was so disappointed by this room! It felt like a lot of the puzzles we solved quietly activated or opened things in other areas of the room and half the time we didn't even realize what was going on. Or the opposite would happen where we could tell the we had activated something but we weren't entirely sure why it had happened. It became very frustrating and convoluted. There was also so much repetition across the puzzles. Almost everything in the room led to inputting access codes into tablets and keypads. There were SO MANY ACCESS CODES. It just didn't feel exciting or interesting. And the puzzles that led to those access codes repeated basic solution styles multiple times with slight variations--it just felt lacking in creativity. That paired with a non-existent story left me feeling very underwhelmed. There are much better rooms at The Escape Game.
I think this room definitely could flow better with a group that had different strengths than mine. We just kept getting halted by the same roadblocks and it became very frustrating.
The sets at The Escape Game are always good! This one felt a bit boring and lacking in creativity but the budget was still clearly very high. However, we were also bothered by a couple loud elements in the room that made it annoying and difficult to communicate with each other at points.
Particularly interesting or different
No
Really disappointed by the "story" in this! There really was nothing beyond the premise--repair the damaged spaceship. That's it.
We struggled in this room but most of the clues we got were just about not noticing something activating in another part of the room, or not finding an object hidden somewhere. The puzzles themselves did sometimes feel counterintuitive but not exactly hard.
Physically active
Somewhat
There are a few steps/stairs and one person will need to duck/crouch and go over a step at the same time to climb into a small doorway.
Accessibility
Would not be wheelchair accessible. One puzzle involves color.
Just use the directories in the mall and you should be good!
