It's 1970 and serial killers are topping the news while the Beach Boys are topping the charts. The city is on edge and just last night there were blood curdling screams reported from a Hollywood estate. With the mysterious absence of the family the next day, the police are convinced this was the work of a serial killer. While crawling all over the scene, the detectives received a disturbing message that he will strike again in 60 minutes! As the task force, you must solve the crime by finding the weapon, the motive, and the suspect in order to nab him. Be careful, he might be among the crowd of concerned citizens watching you.

It was a nice concept but I do wish my partner and I read the reviews before booking. We experienced everything that the reviews mentioned. There was no flow, even though it’s a linear room. It was really hard to figure out what puzzle goes with what lock. And then even after solving a puzzle, you have no idea where to go from there. As very experienced game masters, we’ve never had such a hard time in a room.

Yes, it’s an old room, and yes, the props are falling apart, but I can forgive that. What I can’t forgive is the puzzling. We had a hard time determining what clues went to what lock. Nothing was clear and there were also leaps in logic that didn’t make any sense.

This game is pretty new. I believe it’s less than 6 months old and it is a gen 1 room with low quality props. The game has a ton of locks and absolutely no direction in between each puzzle. Ie: you solve a puzzle and then you need to try that combination on 5 different locks because none of the locked items match anything you were just doing. Also lots of the puzzles were missing an element of order.
