Welcome to Hohman, Indiana. It’s Christmas time and the Parker family is getting ready to celebrate. Ralphie has been working hard to be “good” and make sure that Santa is going to bring his desired gift – a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Unfortunately, his Mom, his teacher, and even Santa himself are warning that Ralphie has to be careful because he might “shoot his eye out.” Based on the 1983 movie, this rollicking adventure is fun for escapers any time of the year. You’ll find everything from the movie that makes this an engaging experience. You’ll also find all the things you need to unlock the secrets of the Parker household and help Ralphie live out his dreams of defeating the bad guys as Red Ryder with his trusted air rifle.

- finished with 20 mins left. Done almost 100 Escape rooms. Great for beginners. - the room is inside of an arcade. The main door is out in the open of the arcade. When entering the room, there is no roof so you can hear the other rooms around you. - it seemed like some things were manually overridden after accomplishing puzzles since it’d be late to activate. - great customer service and excited to play all of the ones they have with the brand

I rate this room a 3/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). It satisfied all of the categories. Theme and set flowed well together and for fans of the Christmas Story, it did not disappoint! It checked all the boxes for that feeling of nostalgia. :) Puzzles were relatively easy, and we finished about halfway thru the hour with 2 people.

83 escape rooms
It was a cute room, less puzzles than the manor. Flowed pretty well overall, although due to it being in an arcade, the top was open you could hear arcade noises, also the next room people trying to escape. Wasn't super Immersive. Also would've been more fun if you had seen the movie prior.
42 escape rooms
We had a bunch of fun and this room is essential for anyone who likes the movie that this is based on. Pretty standard puzzles that were fun to work through. Good theming. The environment of the loud, neighboring arcade made it a little hard to know what noises were for us and what was just arcade noise. Overall I’d give it an 8/10.
We love the theme around the Christmas Story! Puzzles were good, pretty much standard stuff. We had fun.
Atmosphere was ok. The lack of ceiling hurt the immersiveness. The room was also situated in a noisy area that made it a little confusing. Audio cues from the room were hard to distinguish from the outside noises that could be heard. 10 out of 10 for the many nods to the movie.
Julian was a great operator. When we arrived it didn’t seem like they were expecting us but they got us running on time.

Unfortunately we were given instructions by the operator when one small puzzle couldn’t sense our input. Without spoiling, we were able to progress using our phones but it was a little bit of a bummer.
