Bubba's Backyard Bar-B-Que And Brouhaha

Our group of 5 had fun, including one guest who was relatively new to escape rooms. The BBQ theme was well done, the room was in good condition, and there were a couple of creative elements we hadn't seen before. The staff was also very friendly. The room is rated 3/5 difficulty, so we intentionally took our time because we didn't want to finish too quickly. Even then, we escaped with about 25 minutes remaining. We've completed 20+ escape rooms, so experienced groups may find this one goes by fairly quickly, while families and newer players will likely find the difficulty just right. My only criticism is the hint system. We received two unsolicited hints despite never asking for one. We enjoy the challenge and would have preferred the opportunity to solve everything on our own. We experienced something similar in another room at this location, so hopefully it's something they can reconsider. A simple solution might be to ask teams during check-in whether they want proactive hints, or, if possible, display a message asking if they'd like a clue before automatically giving one. There was also one puzzle that didn't seem to register our correct solution right away, costing us a few minutes before the game master realized we'd already completed it. I won't spoil the puzzle, but it seemed like our successful attempt simply wasn't recognized. Overall, this is a fun, well-themed room that we'd definitely recommend. Just don't be surprised if experienced players finish with plenty of time to spare.

Fun and thematic puzzles with a refreshingly low stakes theme and just the right amount of comedy. It hides its tech well, making it feel lower tech than it actually is - and that illusion was created with intention, to lean into the aesthetic. Highly impressed with the GM, who went above and beyond - not just with the room hints itself, but the all important "whoops we're having trouble finding the building" puzzle, as she offered remote turn by turn guidance when we were about a block away from the venue.

Escaped room with 2 people with time to spare. There’s 1 thing that requires 3 people but someone comes in when you ask. Enjoyed this room. :)

Fun room. We did not have enough people so our GM came to help for one part. Challenging and fun. Highly recommend. There are parts of this room that may not be fully accessible if you are in a wheelchair.

Just a super fun theme with excellently executed puzzles. Amazing flow with tons of fun and unique concepts, and some very funny surprises. Come get your barbecue!

This room had a unique theme that the owners super leaned into which was cool. Patty was a great guide! There was a good variety of different types of puzzles—we’ve done A LOT of escape rooms so some of them seemed a little basic to us, but we enjoyed many of the puzzles.

It was fun but at little difficult because some things didn't trigger as expected. The game master had to enter the room twice & tell us what to do over the speaker another time something didn't trigger. Overall it was cute ans fun but flow was a little difficult at times.

Really good room design. I preferred this one a bit more than The Cellar. The story was good and it flowed well. I would recommend if you are in the area.
