A mysterious world is waiting to be discovered, the temple doors will open for just 93 minutes, enter the adventure, use your powers of observation and overcome its pitfalls. More than an Escape Room, an adventure like in Indiana Jones or Lara Croft movies. Artefact is a fun room recommended for everyone: from beginners to advanced players, and from younger to older players. You'll find all the ingredients for a successful experience here, from a well-crafted atmosphere with beautiful scenery, nice music and proper lighting to varied, accessible and fun puzzles, an evolving story and the satisfaction of reaching a tangible goal at the end! We warmly recommend this room, try it out!

Glad to see this room. Finally getting the recognition it deserves and appearing as a finalist with TERPECA. This is easily my favourite ever Egyptian themed room and one of the top games I've ever played.

This Escape Room is an absolute must-play by puzzle-lovers. The puzzles are not particularly hard. We managed to finish the room in 49 minutes, but everything is amazingly incorporated in the room and we absolutely loved the game. This is a very unique Escape Room experience with an eye for every single detail.
The room is linear making a simple flow in the puzzles. All puzzles are perfectly thematized and gives great feedback, so you are never in doubt whether you are doing the right thing or not.
The room was amazingly decorated. All of the hieroglyphs are historically correct and so are the paintings. The room even has grains of sand in some parts, making it even more immersible and lively. It was truely one of the most beautiful Escape Rooms I have ever experienced. Furthermore, the sound-effects, lighting-effects and occasional fog adds to a more immersive and creepy experience.
The gamemasters were super polite and easy to talk with.
Yes
The game had a lot of original puzzles and there wasn't as much as a single regular padlock/code-lock. Additionally, this is Romanias largest Escape Room by area, spanning around 100+ square metres. The rooms were massive, so it's also good for anyone who might suffer from claustrophobia.
The story wasn't very original (Enter the pharaos tomb and steal the cursed relic) but nevertheless was impressively incorporated. Even with an unoriginal theme/story, this is a one-in-a-million Escape Room.
Easy
We escaped in 49 minutes (44 minutes remaining) so the puzzles weren't really that hard, but it didn't reduce the experience.
High tech
Not even a single pad-lock, key or code-lock.

2-4 people are perfect.
Spooky
Certain moments with flickering lights, electrical "blackouts", sound effects and occasional fog gives a spooky atmosphere.

Somewhat
For 2 people, expect to run, for 3+ people just expect long walking distances.
The room is not accessible by wheelchair but perfect for almost any other impairment.
No
Their sign was very small and the building does not give vibes of anything you should enter.

One of my favorite rooms ever. The puzzles are very fun and it’s riddled with both classic and completely unique mechanisms. The fact that the room is linear makes it a lot easier to solve since there’s never too many noisy or intersecting elements that are stumping you or that you can’t use yet. The rooms keep coming one after another and along the way they tell a fun and compelling story which is really adding to the experience.

The Artefact is more than just an escape room; it's a true experiential journey. Tremendous effort was put into creating an atmosphere worthy of a movie set. You feel like a genuine explorer searching for the cursed artifact in the pharaoh's sarcophagus. Everything is automated and incredibly realistic.

"The Artefact" transcends the typical escape room; it's an immersive experiential journey. Remarkable effort went into crafting a movie-like atmosphere, truly making you feel like an authentic explorer hunting for a cursed artifact within the pharaoh's sarcophagus. The room's automation and lifelike elements contribute to an incredibly realistic and captivating adventure.

The Artefact is one of the largest rooms in Bucharest. The owners managed to fill this space with varied puzzles, cool props and enough adventure to satisfy even the most die-hard fans. It’s one of the rooms that should not be missed while in Bucharest.
The puzzles flow like a real life Indiana Jones movie.
One of the most immersive rooms in Bucharest.
The owners are really fun and passionate people.

Absolutely beautiful escape room made by people with a lot of love for the genre. The setting is incredibly immersive, looking like a real ancient Egyptian tomb. And the GM told us that the attention to detail was impeccable: the hieroglyphs are genuine, the paintings on the wall follow the myth of Egyptian death, hieroglyphs are carved with low relief and figures with high relief etc. Even the duration of the escape room (93 minutes) is not randomly chosen. The room is the largest in Romania currently and it took 3 years to complete. Despite this, the business does not charge more than the normal escape room rate in Bucharest. The room is shaped like a long corridor that opens up gradually towards the tomb as you solve more and more puzzles. The puzzles are great and are very heavy on actual thinking and pattern matching rather than observation. There is also a timed section where you have to move fast across the temple (or have many people around different spots if you have a bigger group) which is exciting and really gives that Tomb Raider feeling. The game also features a very novel hint system: the first room has scrolls with the solution for each puzzle that players can access at will, so their progression does not depend on the GM. It's up to the players how much time they want to spend with each puzzle. More escape rooms should employ this! We ended up using only 3 hints. We used up ~50 minutes with the first 3 puzzles because observation puzzles keep stumping us 😤, but we were very good at all the others and managed to finish within ~103 minutes. You also get to keep a souvenir at the end, so it's perfect for players like us who love having keepsakes from their adventures! Thanks Edi for being a great host! :)
