You and your team of ghost hunters have been sent to Fall Mountain to investigate the paranormal activity. The previous ghost hunting crew has disappeared. So many stories have been left untold, and dangerous ghosts are waiting for you. The Haunted Great Outdoors is completely different from the The Great Outdoors AND the previous Haunted Great Outdoors, both in story and puzzles. Already done The Great Outdoors or The previous Haunted Great Outdoors? No problem, this experience is completely different. Never done The Great Outdoors? Don't worry, knowledge of the previous game is not necessary.

My husband does not do well with jump scares or haunted houses type thing. So if you’re not into that, this isn’t the room for you. I loved it! The atmosphere was amazing and the spook level really upped the pressure to get things completed. LOVED the decor and set up. Really cool room!

Curse of Fall Mountain had a good atmosphere, but also had multiple tech issues that impacted the game. At least one puzzle had what I thought was unclear signposting about what we should do, with multiple viable interpretations; unfortunately, this also had tech issues, so even though we had done the right thing, it didn't register, and we went off on wrong paths from there. And what should have been a satisfying and climatic ending fizzled because of tech issues. I believe this is one of North Valley's older games, so to some extent this is understandable - things break, and puzzle design has evolved over the years. It's an OK game with a good structure, but it needs some maintenance.

I’m not usually the biggest fan of haunted/scary escape rooms, but I really enjoyed myself on this one. The puzzles were interesting and different and flowed really well. The set was immersive and really wowed me. Of the 3 rooms we did today at NVER, this was my favorite. You should absolutely do it!
We got off to a rough start, but then it flowed very well from there once you got going.
Fantastic! With a big wow moment!
The GMs here were all super friendly.

They had a great intro video that really put you into the mood and setting for this room.

This room started with a couple quite Hard puzzles, but after that I’d say they were all Medium to Easy.

Lots of combo locks, but also lots of cool tech.

2 - 4 players would be great. For enthusiasts, I’d recommend playing with just 2 players so you can experience everything in the room.

Mostly it was just Spooky, but a couple Scary moments for easily scarable people like me, haha.

Some of the most fun we’ve EVER had in an escape room! The atmosphere, scares, sense of building suspense, and pacing were absolutely pitch perfect. The effects were awesome, there was a great mix of tech and mechanical locks to make things both fun and satisfying, and the puzzles were seamless and incredibly tight: they made perfect logical sense and all flowed into each other. And our GM was fantastic! This was so much fun!!!

Large, fun room with Halloween props and jump scares, although admittedly I enjoyed the OG Great Outdoors much better.

Set relies a little too heavily on off-the-shelf haunted house props, and we burned a bit of time on a prominent item that turned out to be a red herring. A fun room but not as strong as Intrepid Explorer or Arizona Steampunk Railroad.

This is a solid room that gets better as you go. The set was good and it had a couple of nice surprises. The puzzles were a mixed bag, but I found a couple of them to be clever. The end game activity was a lot of fun and the staff at NVER are great. They love their jobs and were fun to talk with.

There are a couple of small spaces and it’s fairly linear so I would say 3-5 people is ideal.

There is a mix of terrain/flooring elements so there is one area that I’m unsure that a wheelchair could go. There are two solo puzzles that someone who is in a wheelchair couldn’t do without learning the chair. I still think someone in a wheelchair could assist and enjoy the game.

This room gets off to a rough start the first room, honestly is Brainy Actz quality, but by the third room, it gets really good, with the second room being just alright. It had some really neat puzzles, a fun atmosphere to explore, and a nice overarching story. Staff here is great as well.
