We had the best time in Vanishing Act! All of the rooms here are superb- but this one was my favorite!

This was easily the best escape room experience I have ever had. The room had unique, fun puzzles, but the game master is what took this experience to an entirely different level from any other escape room. 11/10

From the intro to the finish, this was an absolute delight of a game. Jon (the owner) ran our games and he was amazing. It was all such a wonderful experience…the GM interactions, the set design, the puzzles, the game flow, the whimsical nature, and the surprises.

Jon was an incredible host/owner. Really excellent work— from the cool effects to the enthusiastic performance. Really well done, and didn’t offer hints unless truly needed.

Really fun gameplay. A little overwhelmed with clues, but organized very well.

Set design and effects were really well done. Magic is involved, and it really felt like it! Very immersive and good thinking with tape to keep people from pulling on the wrong things.

Over the moon about Jon. Really enthusiastic and fun host/owner. This room involves performance, and he absolutely killed it! The reason our experience was good is because of him.

Our group of 4 was incredibly impressed with Vanishing Act!! We always are at Black Mountain. We have played almost 70 rooms and this ranks right up there at the top! So many surprises that literally had me shouting with joy. This is a NOT to miss room and worth traveling for!!

Loved the setup and story of this experience! Nathaniel kept our team of 5 fully engaged and excited. The world felt magical in a way that broke up the space and made environments feel expansive and ever-changing through a very smart layout design. The tricks just kept on coming and we LOVED IT!! 🥕

The puzzles were fun and got your whole team involved in the magic and whimsical elements in a magician’s space. Captured the feeling of magic very well!
Atmosphere
From the moment you walk in the lobby, you pick-up on the detail and appreciation the Black Mountain Escape Room team has for the historical nature of the building and town. That translates well into the presentation of the magical ambience of the game. Lots of small details scattered to help highlight the world and traditions of stage magic and magicians.

SO WELL!! Nathaniel was very personable and made all three of our experiences today so much fun! He really got into character and his presence as that character was always pleasantly accepted into the flow of the game!
Story
For all 3 games we played, their team truly knows how to intricately introduce the world that you are about to dive into. With unexpected reveals and the fun story element of finding “Fluffy” that was tied into your objective, this was really fun! Nathaniel brought the chaotic and exciting energy that really helped drive that narrative home! Cute ending (IN THE BEST WAY) to wrap the story with our two characters. Our team really enjoyed this one!
