A woman named Josie has recently passed away, leaving behind a storage room filled with decades of collected memories and cryptic secrets. Remnants of her entire life are all here in one place - left for you to discover. As a young girl growing up in the 1960s, Josie was gifted a tape recorder and began documenting every part of her life. But in her old age, she has become almost unrecognizable, warped by the tragic events of her past. The Nest is an intimate, live experience for two audience members at a time, combining elements of immersive theater, narrative video games, serialized podcasts, and escape rooms into a new way to experience a story. Equipped with a flashlight, search through personal effects, explore your surroundings, and listen to audio cassettes to piece together the dramatic narrative of Josie's life.

Definitely make note of "immersive theater" - if you're going into this thinking it's an escape room, you'll be disappointed. It's a story, so take the time to slow down (you're in no rush), listen to the tales, and really enjoy & admire the scenery which is very well done. There ARE a few puzzles, and you'll need to do some searching, but nothing extraordinarily difficult. I found the ending quite moving and was tearing up at the end.

NOT an escape room, but unforgettable. The ending to the experience was not satisfying to me, but it's beautiful storytelling in a really detailed creative environment. The "epilog" was truly moving. I almost wrote what I did during the epilog, but don't want to ruin any surprises. (Happy to share offline and happy to listen to your own experience there :) ) Very glad I tried this.

Not an escape room in the original sense, more of an immersive discovery game. Went with my 2 daughters (22 and 14 y/o) and we loved it so much! Essentially you are allowed access to a women’s storage unit and you explore your way through her belongings discovering cassette tapes along the way that tell her life story. It’s raw, emotional, and incredibly immersive. I won’t say too much, but if you have a small group (3 max, 2 ideal), then I strongly recommend this experience. Get in your feels and tune your senses and you may walk away with tears in your eyes. Another great experience by Hatch games.

We were almost discouraged by the idea that this is “not a traditional escape room”, but escape room lovers that appreciate ambiance, staging, theming, and story will ABSOLUTELY LOVE this. Probably the best “world-building” of anything I’ve experienced. It is a truly fantastic experience, especially for a duo or small group. We had a group of four and it was cozy. A very memorable experience.

Not a typical room escape experience, more like an immersive story telling experience with no real people character. Very unique and emotional!

This was a unique experience. I’ve heard a lot about this room, mostly that it’s not an escape room and that it’s best with smaller groups. Those were definitely true. We followed the story of Josephine, the previous owner of a storage unit we now own. Her story unfolds as we explored further into the storage unit. It’s not meant to be scary but it can be eery with how dark the space was with some lighting here and there and with only one flashlight. The assignment was straight forward. We had to keep reminding ourselves to take a back seat on the usual ER routine to avoid overthinking it. There’s definitely a lot of junk to explore but not enough to get lost in it. The set design was clutter-fantastic. They made clutter look good. This was a very heart felt experience! I would love to explore another storage unit!!! Can you make a scary or mystery one?

First off let me say, what an experience. Definitely not your average escape room (which it’s not, they say that right off the bat) but I think that’s what makes it my favorite room to date. Absolutely incredible. 10/10.
