A woman named Josie has recently passed away, leaving behind a storage room filled with decades of collected memories and cryptic secrets. Remnants of her entire life are all here in one place - left for you to discover. As a young girl growing up in the 1960s, Josie was gifted a tape recorder and began documenting every part of her life. But in her old age, she has become almost unrecognizable, warped by the tragic events of her past. The Nest is an intimate, live experience for two audience members at a time, combining elements of immersive theater, narrative video games, serialized podcasts, and escape rooms into a new way to experience a story. Equipped with a flashlight, search through personal effects, explore your surroundings, and listen to audio cassettes to piece together the dramatic narrative of Josie's life.

While this is not an escape room but rather an immersive theatre experience, it should not stray anyone away from how amazing this room really is. The set design, the story, the audio. Everything was fantastic start to finish. HOWEVER, I really do not think the price of $125-150 should be placed on this room. While this is a hands-on experience (that should really only be played by one person), I don’t think there was really enough to make it be worth the amount of money that you pay to experience the room. Although the whole experience is great, there is nothing that is too different or unique to make it worth a large sum of money (maybe something like in the $60-70 range would be a lot better).

Great set design and great use of space. Because of it being dark and the music playing, it took me a while to realize nothing scary was going to happen. A second person would’ve help just to hold the flashlight, but doing this with one person is definitely manageable. This is not an escape room. It a nice low-key story experience, not heavy in puzzles.

10 / 5 Not only the best “escape room” I’ve ever done, maybe one of my favorite things I’ve done period. This narrative immersive experience is less so about the ticking clock or solving puzzles as it is weaving your way through a haunting, clever, and completely shattering story of humanity. I didn’t know something like this existed. A real game changer and an absolute MUST for anyone with a beating heart and a yearning for discovery. Masterful. I felt like I was in a novel come to life.

I’ve experienced The Nest twice. Once when it was in the creator’s backyard shed and once years ago (2020?) when it moved to its new location. It’s now under ‘new management’ so to speak so I don’t know how it’s changed in terms of being an escape room. When I went, it was a piece of art. Not a room to try to win or escape from. Art with a beautiful story and production design that made you want to stay in there forever. There are elements of unlock this padlock, etc but it’s to uncover more of a story. Not get out of a room. Long story short - go to The Nest.

A truly unique and amazing experience. This room is one of a kind. It is not an escape room: it is an immersive experience, and one that I will remember forever. Play it with one person. I can’t imagine having experienced it any other way. If you play with someone else, make sure you’re comfortable being emotionally vulnerable with them. From a technical standpoint, attention has been paid to every detail. The set is immersive and detailed, props are fun to play with but somehow feel like they pull you into each moment. It’s somehow satisfying to keep moving the story along mechanically using technology I haven’t used in decades! Even the smells and music generate emotion. This is one I’ll be recommending as long as it runs. Go do it.

This room is one of the most unique and breathtaking experiences i’ve ever had. Went in with high expectations and left in awe. Everything from the set design to the sounds and smells felt so authentic that i genuinely felt immersed in the story. Solid 10/10!

This was more experience than Escape room and I absolutely loved it. The storytelling and set design is masterful. Definitely sets the standard for future experiences. Stand outs for me or the onboarding and off boarding as well as the incredible set and voice acting. One small critique is that this game should include trigger warnings. Just in case someone has something they would not like to deal with at the moment.
