Enjoy a game with Indiana's most loved Horror Host, as Sammy Terry guides you through this puzzling adventure, treating you to that creepy yet corny humor Hoosiers have known and loved since 1962... This game is excellent for families with kids as young as 8 or 9! The Key graciously presents a most 'horrible' new occupant coming back to our roster of fun and entertaining escape room adventures! Sammy Terry's Dungeon is excellent for groups of six to eight, with Sammy himself guiding you through lots of challenging puzzle games within the hour long super fun and entertaining adventure. This game is a must for every Hoosier that grew up as a Sammy Terry fan!

265 escape rooms

Rating: 3/5 Enjoyable for the Sammy Terry nostalgia, but the escape room experience is unusual/weird which can be a good or bad thing depending on your opinion. The owner/GM is friendly and has a sense of humor but you need to be OK with being pranked/startled. The room itself is OK, the set isn't particularly elaborate and it's only a single room, but the puzzles were decent. It's almost all padlocks, no tech. The room does feature Sammy Terry (played by the original actor's son) and he was heavily involved with its creation. The room is creepy and has some startling moments, but it's not scary. I would recommend a team of 2-4 experienced players.

56 escape rooms

This was our second room at Key Escapes and it was just as much of an experience as our first one! Only one member of our group had heard or watched Sammy Terry before, but that didn’t hinder us from being able to play the room. There were lots of cool facts on each key, which I’m sure that plus having Sammy Terry’s actual coffin there would make this perfect for fans of his.

Entirely padlocks.

Ideal number of players

4

We played with 4 and that was pretty perfect. The room is fairly small so I wouldn’t book this for a large group.

Scary

Spooky

Atmosphere was spooky and the game master likes to play pranks with loud noises, falling fake spiders, etc. but I’m a scardy cat and there was nothing too terrifying.

Accessibility

The room is kept dark and you’re given a small flashlight so if you have trouble seeing, this one might be difficult.

Easy to find location

Yes

My GPS never takes me directly to their location, you have to circle around the mall to find it in the corner.

Parking

Easy

The location is in an empty mall, so you have pretty much unlimited parking.
