The Barnyard Winds

A very different atmosphere than most escape rooms we’ve done. This is a fun, lighthearted room that works well for both kids and adults, but it was more challenging than we expected. The puzzles were genuinely engaging, with a few skill-based games mixed in, along with cute interactions involving the fake animals. The room is mostly nonlinear, which keeps everyone involved and busy throughout. As always, the game masters at this location are terrific and really add to the overall experience.

Captivating worlds has amazing rooms. This particular room was the weakest of the bunch for me though. A few of the puzzles relied on technology that was too sensitive to be effective. If those elements were fixed, this would easily be one of my all time favorites. But with the way it worked for us, the room was just okay.

A different vibe and nice change of pace from the usual darker / more intense rooms (even the others at Captivating Worlds). The skill games were an interesting change up as well but nothing too intense. A nice flow that didn’t often leave us wondering what to do next.

There were plenty of puzzles here so for the most part, everyone in our group of four was able to break off and work on something different on their own or in pairs. Plenty of small puzzles here and quite a variety of types. This one is more family friendly, but still a fun challenge.

Family of 4 plus one took on this experience. Very good story about getting all the farm animals back in place before the storm hits. This place is clean, modern and easy to find. Good use of local places and weather patterns. To be fair, with so many reviews giving this place and room head over heels reviews, we thought that we might be more “WOW’d” by this room. It was a good room. We enjoyed the experience…but no one in my group loved the experience.

This was our 75th escape room, and we've never seen a theme like this! It was fun for two adults, but we imagine kids would love it even more! As always, Captivating Worlds has amazing sets and very creative little touches. The only thing that kept us from giving this a "heart" instead of a "like" was that there was a mechanism towards the end that we think could have operated more smoothly. Luckily, there was an alternative to solving that puzzle, but if not, we would not have escaped because it was such a time sink. Overall, awesome experience that we highly recommend. Can't wait to do the rest of their rooms!

Definitely recommend! Owners are so welcoming and kind, and the GMs are attentive and showed genuine interest in ensuring we had the best game experience possible. The theme is very cute and unique, and the set design and puzzles fit perfectly.

Fantastic game. Perfect for four, we only had two but it was a lot to do. Wish I could do again!!!

Such a fun and refreshing theme. This one isn't just for the kids and it's actually quite challenging. Tons of puzzles and some unique elements you won't find anywhere else.
