In 11S Escape room, we rewind to September 11, 2001. A day marked in the memory of the whole world. The news of the attack on the twin towers in New York crossed borders and made the world remain stunned and in disbelief of what was happening. The United States of America, the first world power at that time, had been attacked in the heart of their country. New York was facing what was going to be the darkest day in its history, every New Yorker has what happened on 9/11, or 9/11, as they call it, etched in stone. At Open Mind Room Escape we have dared to remember and remember this fateful day. Stories of heroes and people, who without a doubt, should not be forgotten. Are you ready to live this day in first person?

I liked 11S, but I didn’t love it. The theme is of course a very delicate one, but I felt like they had made the room with respect to the history. The gameplay for me, was decent. Some good puzzle design, but nothing that wowed me. Some things felt a bit out of place, and the set design felt a bit older and worn. Not a bad experience, but nothing I would go out of my way to play either.

A 9/11 escape room is definitely a harder experience to create than most, but I think Open Mind created a game that is respectful of its sensitive subject matter. Set was a standout, clever traversal and movement. Puzzles felt a little incongruent at times. I appreciate Open Mind worked with survivors on the details to create an experience that was respectful of its sensitive subject and walked the fine line necessary in such a game.

Absolutely stunnig decor, this one is a must. A nice and funny GM. Some puzzles are a bit random and u related, most fit well in the story though.
Some of the puzzles are a bit unrelated.

Moving, exciting, emotional - a fitting tribute that puts you in the shoes of a real fire squad training when the towers are attacked. Real survivor's stories (with their permission) are incorporated into the room, and a memorial post-game explains several aspects of the game. Brilliant. Puzzles were very puzzle-y and sometimes a bit random, but there's some real immersion here and great use of space. There's some suspension of disbelief with some elements of the game which definitely could not have happened or don't really make sense (e.g., two set pieces are very out of place). But most of the puzzles are in-theme even when they're not diegetic, and many puzzles and tasks were memorable, creative, and the surprisingly puzzley-ness was a treat, considering the effort and attention given to the set design.

Fantastic. This is a traditional escape room done on a superb level - don't expect Hollywood caliber here in the polish or presentation, but certain elements in the game are truly great.

Very physically demanding, which is critical for the theme to make sense. Expect to crawl, climb, ascend and descend. Someone will need to have some basic strength to operate something critical for a puzzle in the endgame.

A heavy theme, brilliantly executed. The set design left us in awe more than once. Only play as a duo – it’s often so cramped that you can’t see what the person in front of you is doing.

Due to the tight space, you often can’t see what the person in front is doing. While there would technically be enough to do for four people, the puzzles follow a strict sequence, so it only really makes sense to play as a duo if you want to experience everything.

Our fifth room of our Escape Tour in Spain. 11s by Openmind Escape Room is a gripping experience that pays tribute to the events of 9/11. While the puzzles are on the simpler side, the immersion is exceptional and intense, with a unique ending that sets it apart. The experience is quite physical, adding to the intensity. Our host, Ellie, was incredible, fully in character during the game and wonderfully attentive afterward, providing detailed explanations and care. Perfect for both new and experienced players. Highly recommended!
Ellie was really into the role and was a super host at the end.
