Chapter 3: The Morgue

Normally, if you go over an hour, the game ends, but the guy Mark didn't tell he would just charge us extra for every minute after. We paid wayyyyy too much and it would have been nice to know that, wasn't happy with that.

I loved the creativity in this room -- the set, the unusual style of puzzles, the non-mainroom structure, the narrative, and the cashback structure. I enjoyed the high parallelism -- 6 people was a great number for this room.

Phenomenal room!!! A must do. Great set design, fantastic sensory experience, and off the charts creative.

I am awful at anything scary, but I already completed 2 previous chapters so I felt like I needed to do The Morgue for the sake of the story. Despite my fear, I found this game really fun! You have the option to have a more or less scary experience, and if you go in a group it is definitely possible to have some members have a scary experience while others less so.

Loved this room. Much more scary than the first two chapters. Be prepared. No jump scares. Just thematically more scary than spooky (especially if you get into it). This was an amazing room. OTC really cares about its game design. And it shows. Puzzles are unique and appropriate for the theme.

We played all 3 chapters here this week and this one was my 2nd favorite. We played as a team of 2 and managed to escape this one with 10 minutes remaining, so it is very doable with any size group. 2 - 4 players would be a good amount for this room. It did seem inexplicably (possibly unnecessarily?) creepy, given what was going on in the story at this point… but hard for me to say since I don’t know where the eventual planned chapters 4 - 12 are going to go. I really loved the time pressure created by the game in this room. The bonus puzzles were the best part, enhancing the game by giving you some choices for who you will have experience certain puzzles. Overall, it was quite novel, challenging, and fun and I just loved the experience. One thing I can say for sure is that I will be very impatiently awaiting the release of the future chapters because I very much want to learn where this is all going!

A little too scary for my taste but a great room if that’s what you are into

Loved this room despite how scare factor to it! I loved that it played to your senses and to the human body. It made you really think outside of the box. And had a game like style to it. By far my favorite out of the three chapters!

It’s a bit scarier with the bonus challenges in particular being unnerving in various ways. This chapter has a bit more concurrent puzzles and possible parallelization, and had a good mix of puzzles and tech. My group had a good time!
