Fantastic game, kept our group of 6 busy, had a ton of unique elements, opt-in scares and generally a top shelf escape room!

Morgue was maybe my favorite OTC game with the merger of comedy and horror being done to perfection. The production quality was high as is the norm, and the puzzles were tough, multi-layered, and interactive. The “bonus” activities were some of the highlights, and if you are easily scared there is still plenty for you to do! Definitely make this a stop on your trip to the bay, and if you are a local this should be at the top of your list.

As a major scaredy cat, my anxiety was high when we first entered the experience given the theme and optional side quests. Once I got over my fear, I was able to appreciate and solve the puzzles in the main room. The premise/gameplay of the room is creative and unique.

8.5/10 Off the Couch’s Best Room by far! Eccentric, fun, challenging, scary, hilarious, and so much more. All of the puzzles not only fit the theme but are fresh and unique. So much to do and everyone will have a distinct experience. My only advice is go with a small group so you can appreciate everything this room has to offer.

Absolutely phenomenal room with super unique gameplay. Absolutely love the story line that connects the rooms, and the set design was outstanding. Cannot wait for more rooms to open!

This one is Chapter 3 of the story. If you haven't done "Occam's Apartment" and "Norcross Art Gallery" yet, you definitely want to (have to?) do those first. Otherwise, you won't understand the story. I highly recommend these rooms to anyone who likes escape rooms and/or interactive storytelling. We had a long conversation with the designer about these rooms and what he wants to do with them. It's absolutely fascinating. The gameplay was great, the set design was great. What really excites me about these rooms, though, is what he wants to do with them in the long run. He wants to turn the whole complex into an interactive story/immersive experience. I think something like that would be absolutely amazing. While you're waiting for your time to go into the next chapter room, you can go to the Boba shop or interact with the actors there--like a cross between a renaissance faire and an interactive experience at Comic Con. That being said, this is my favorite of the 3 rooms, even though it's freaking scary to me! The level of tension in this room is off the charts. Members of your group are pulled out one or two at a time to do additional challenges, testing your bravery and critical thinking skills. I was only brave enough to do one of them--a taste testing challenge--and it was HARD! The choices that you've made throughout the rest of the story will adjust what you come into contact with in this room--how are things set up here, what are you coming in with, etc. I don't think I ever would have thought about turning a morgue into a game show. I just wish I could go through it again.

It's a game show/competition set in a morgue. The challenges were hard and engaging. None of our group was ever bored or without anything to do.

An amazing overarching game mechanic that makes you want to solve puzzles quickly, or else. As an experience, it was a bit overstimulating at times which detracted from my experience.

High stress environment makes everything harder. You can have an early failure due to the core game mechanic, though you would still be given your full paid-for time to otherwise complete the room's puzzles.

Scary
We were told by staff it "isn't that scary" but I would compare it to a HHN house at Universal. HHN is "not that scary" because all you have to do is walk to the end of the scare house and you're fine. But when there's loud music, loud sudden noises, a live actor who will perhaps pop in on you to scare you while you're doing puzzles, plus the theming and the plot about the stakes, it can add up. So I consider this scary in the same way that HHN is scary - scary for some people including me, interesting set immersion for others.

At least one person must be able to crawl a short distance
Largely wheelchair accessible, though an ambulatory person is necessary to reach certain areas for clues or inputs at different heights. Loud sounds and music can be a simulation overload for the sensitive. We were warned that all five senses were necessary and that is true.

While the theme of the room is basically "Blood, Gore, and Beyond", the tone of the room was almost comedic which really elevated the sadistic nature of our whole situation. The puzzles were on point and whole point system we were working with in the room added an extra layer of something to keep track of.

Morgue is the best game thus far from the original 3 chapters. It’s not entirely scary either so be brave. Take turns when called upon to maximize the fun distribution and just when you think the game is non linear, realize it’s not. A must play that is very similar to the original but has some upgrades that are super cool.
“The Morgue combines puzzle-dense gameplay with dark humor—an unhinged experience unlike any other.“
