Cold Case

Cold Case is the peak scariest room I’ve ever experienced. In the description, it looks as if you are stumbling upon a cold case but expect more of a hostage breakout situation. Lucas, our game master, gave us the fright of our lives. He spent a long time explaining the rules - but I think he accomplished his goal of setting the stage and hyping us up for the adrenaline rush. I was pretty convinced that I will not make it out alive after the orientation. We were chained up and they put bags over our heads. If you love puzzles, this room has more of the live actor interaction than the puzzles themselves. They have a well oiled machine so that groups get the most out of their hour. They will come in more frequently if your group is solving the puzzles too quickly. So just know that coming in - 70% live actor immersion, 30% puzzles. Clever Fox Escape Rooms would easily be one of my favorite “horror” rooms - and I’ve done the classic scary ones (Zoe Reborn, Project Minotaur, Resurrection, etc.) You can tell that the game masters and the owners really do care about their rooms and they are proud of what they’ve designed. It’s not a high budget room by any means but you will get your monies worth in scares. I’m excited to come back and try their other rooms. Again, shout out to Lucas for helping us celebrate our friend’s birthday with a memorable experience!

This was a scary and exciting escape room. Our GM Hayden was great and made the room exciting and kept us on our toes. Puzzles weren't incredibly hard but you had to work together and we liked that!

I’ve done about 40 rooms now, and this was hands down my favorite—will never forget it, can’t recommend it highly enough. Kaiser was our game master and he was outstanding. What a great room!

This was our group’s first experience doing an escape room. While we enjoyed it overall, I will say there isn’t much cold case solving. It was more like a hostage breakout situation. It’s more horror based than putting together clues to solve a murder. The live actor comes in periodically to mess with you and will def give you a jump scare. They bang things and touch you (not inappropriately) while you are handcuffed and have a bag over your head. My friend was very triggered and had a hard time getting through it. She almost tapped out but she made it through. It was still fun overall and we made it out with 1:30 to spare

Loved this game, had some good jump scares and was in a pretty spooky environment. Wasn’t too scary, went with one of my friends who gets scared and he was fine. Loved the live actor element, cleverly designed game, highly recommend!

DO THIS ROOM!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! i normally don’t like scary, but this one was so good!! Sawyer is hands down the best game master i have ever encountered! and i’ve done almost 200 rooms. request him if you can! clever fox, you did good!

This room has a ton of glowing reviews and I feel bad leaving this, but I think it’s important to be honest about my experience. The rules took forever to go through…? It took the wind out of our sails before we even played. There was too much of the actor for too long. I don’t know how else to say this, but we just didn’t have fun in this room. If you LOVE horror rooms, you’ll enjoy this regardless, but if you’re an enthusiast who’s neither here nor there on horror rooms, this might not be your jam.

Had an amazing time today!! Really great room that does a great job to build tension and keep the excitement going. Our GM Hayden was awesome and we had an absolute blast. Definitely add this to your list!

We had to bring our friends new boyfriend to a scary escape room to test his nerves! Lol He passed the vibe check thanks to these awesome GMs! You guys hit the GM lottery. All the young guys were awesome and immersive! We all had such a blast playing this room!

Absolutely terrifying. Adds to the pressure to solve puzzles. Keeps you on your toes
