Absolutely great room, good mix of different kinds of puzzles and really interesting atmosphere. Highly recommended. Challenge with 2; just made it🤣

Our favourite room to date!Definitely suitable for bigger groups as the size allows teams to split in to two parts and work on seperate puzzle.A very non linear escape room thats has all the right elements.

A huge and quite impressive escape room that is loaded with fun things to do.It can be challenging with smaller groups since we were 9 people and barely made it out on time.With the price we paid it really felt like a steal.A super fun and very affordable escape room.

Such an amazing experience!There is soo much to do and the puzzles flowed well.The atmosphere was mystical and the sound effects added to the overall immersion.We will definitely come back to try their new post apocalyptic theme End of Days!!!

We played Darkness Falls a while back and we believe that it was a solid and very enjoyable escape room.After speaking to escape room owners we came to a conclusion that (Grayer) and (Ash47) has tried to defame escape room businesses.They went on a rampage leaving 7 (one star) reviews on multiple platforms just to harass them.I advise enthusiasts on this app to watch out for those accounts and not fall victim to evil acts like this one.Those actions don’t align with our values as enthusiasts.

There were a few issues during our escape room experience. Some items that were supposed to trigger audio clues didn’t work correctly — we had to remove an object from its designated spot to get the next clue to play. I only learned this after calling the game master, as the audio kept looping between three recordings. The music that played when we escaped and during one of the puzzles was very loud and didn’t match the set design, which affected the immersion. Overall, the production quality was okay, but some rooms felt disconnected from the overall theme. To avoid spoilers, I won’t go into detail. After my partner left a review, the owner called him using the contact details from our booking and has since sent multiple intimidating messages. This made me feel unsafe and prompted me to leave a review to warn others. The owner also offered my partner a refund in exchange for removing his review. When my partner chose not to remove it, the owner began sending further intimidating messages. My partner declined the refund and has no interest in receiving one. It’s very concerning that the owner used our personal booking information to contact us because of a review. That’s not ethical and raises questions about how negative feedback is handled — or possibly removed — for this business. Reviews are meant to reflect genuine customer experiences, and behaviour like this undermines their integrity. We rely on honest reviews to decide which escape rooms to visit, so this was deeply disappointing.

The escape room is run down / poorly maintained in my opinion. There was one puzzle that didn’t work (it was broken) and I needed to ask for instructions via walkie talkie and was told how to repair it. Another puzzle reset every 30 seconds or so, making it difficult to use, and we had trouble activating it again -- I felt very frustrated. There is loud music, and the set design is very basic compared to other rooms in Melbourne in my opinion. I did enjoy some of the puzzles, but the maintenance and design issues made the overall experience less enjoyable. They said the room is for 10 people, but we completed it with 2; the higher number might make some of the puzzles easier. For the price, the value isn’t there for me. Update: After posting this review, the business owner called me and asked me to remove it. I am sharing this to provide a factual record of what happened. I also provided detailed feedback on the puzzles, but the response focused on asking to remove the review rather than addressing the issues. Update 2: The business owner informed me that I have been banned from all their venues. Update 3: I attached a SMS conversation with the owner. The owner was the one to call me first and ask me to remove my reviews. I tried to update my reviews to provide more details and specifics without giving spoilers for the room. I spent around an hour writing over 1,300 words with very specific details about what went wrong and how to fix the issues in my SMS message. Update 4: I haven't tried to get a refund, and I haven't taken a refund. The owner seems to be asking people to defame me via other reviewers instead of addressing the issues with the escape room.

Was genuinely really surprised by how much I enjoyed Darkness Falls! Having played every other room at EGM I feel like I knew what to expect but ended up being so impressed with the experience as a whole. The space is huge (not 14 players huge, but still pretty big) and uses this to its advantage, having players explore multiple different areas or “memories” as you unravel each layer of a really cool, multi-linear story. The puzzles were varied and flowed well, the atmosphere was whimsical, and the set dressing was hands down the best I’ve seen from these guys! Big yes. There were a couple small moments of guesswork when solving but it didn’t deter from anything overall as we were having a lot of fun navigating the mountain of content. This is undoubtably my pick if you’re looking to play any room at EGM, great fun!

After a couple of disappointing games earlier in the day Darkness Falls really shone through as a beacon of hope. This hope was thankfully not misguided with a room that impressed me and I actually had a great time in. There was also a heap of content to work through as the room seemed to just keep going. The puzzles felt well thought out and connected to the overarching story and theming really well. A couple of small things that could be adapted to improve the room overall. Definitely not the craziest in terms of tech and quite a lot of do not touch stickers. I'm not a fan of riddles in escape rooms in general and one of the riddles in this room especially basically no information which made it a very difficult solve. I also would argue that 14 is too many for the maximum in any escape room and this one is not exempt from this. Otherwise, an experience I rather enjoyed and would definitely recommend to others.

Had some really cool effects and the room was set up really well!
