A commercial flight into space! What an amazing adventure for you and your friends. Unfortunately, when it comes to vacation, things don't always go as planned. When your plans start to go awry, you find yourself in the position of using your inner astronaut skills to save your friends! Thankfully, the Intrepid Explorer is stocked full of the high-tech machines you have of course studied for years. Whew! Of course... if anything goes wrong, you can always teleport back... hopefully.

This was a strong, immersive room! A few puzzles were “weak” aka not super clean and functional or easy to execute as intended. But overall it was really fun.

STAFF: The staff at North Valley is amazing; very friendly and they all love what they do. SET: The set was beyond amazing. You could literally put it in Disneyland or Universal and it would fit in. It is so well done. Puzzles, story, and flow: unfortunately this is where it all comes off the rails for me. I normally don’t care much about the story, but I felt that this room needs one. Except for the very end, there is no prompt, or reason to do anything. Nothing progresses you to the next thing (except at the end where the goal is then obvious). We got off to a very slow start, but the GM said that everyone does in that room…..which is a problem that they should correct. It starts you off on the wrong foot. The soundtrack is great, the set is so well done, and the staff is great. We did 6 rooms here in a day and had a wonderful day, but this room didn’t click with me and I couldn’t wait for the room to end as I was frustrated.
There was no flow or signposting and nothing naturally led you to a puzzle.
AMAZING!!!! This set could fit in at Disneyland or Universal.
The staff at North Valley is amazing.

There really wasn’t a cohesive story. I normally don’t care about the story, but this room needs one.

There are tight aisles/hallways, but I think a wheelchair would still work.

Intrepid Explorer was by far my least favorite game at North Valley, the tech was overwhelming, the room was linear but appeared non linear, there was little to no sign posting. The set was great, had some really fun moments, but it’s hard to look past what I think was a huge let down by the puzzles and the flow of the room which is what brings it down and teeters the line between thumbs up and down.

I am never good at these types of rooms. I enjoyed the higher tech aspect of this room and enjoyed the puzzles, however I was stumped a few times. Good game for a smaller group.

I couldn’t wait for the time to be up. They changed very little from the Dark Sector (which was just okay) and called it a new room. Two of the puzzles didn’t work right, causing us to lose time, and ultimately the game. The ones that did work right didn’t really make sense. They have some brilliant games at North Valley like Escape from Alcatraz, Big Top Circus, and the Legend of the 7th Stone, but this definitely isn’t one of them.

This game was good in my opinion! I know this game didn't click well for some people but it clicked well for us!
The puzzles in this game were all very unique and clever! They changed all the puzzle and remodeled/added set pieces accept for one or 2 things. It really is a new room! This room is linear.
It felt like you were in a spaceship! It also reminded me of Star Wars!
Our game master was very friendly.
Yes
Lots of unique puzzles I have never seen before.
Medium
I'd say Intrepid Explorer is between medium and hard, this is a very hard room for beginners though.
High tech
This game is very high tech and has loads of special effects.
3
There is a puzzle at the very end of the game that requires 3 people at once to solve It. I wouldn't recommend more than 6 people though.
Not scary

10 years old is a good age limit for this game, but some of the puzzles might be too complicated for them.

This game does have some loud noises so people with hearing issues shouldn't play this one. Intrepid Explorer also has some color puzzles so colorblind people might want to bring other people with them that aren't colorblind.
