Capital Treasure had a mysterious atmosphere, mostly because everything looked plain at first, but it made sense once you realize the room is meant to feel like a secretive operation. The theme matched really well with the puzzles and tech used throughout the room, which I appreciated. I don’t like when an escape room has puzzles or props that feel random or don’t fit the setting, but this room stayed pretty consistent with its concept. The puzzle flow had a mix of linear and non-linear moments, but in my opinion, it leaned more linear overall. I think the best group size for this room would be around 4 players. It is definitely more tech-heavy than mechanical-lock focused, which helps the immersion and makes the experience feel more modern. Our GM did a great job giving hints and thoroughly explaining every question we had. That part really helped the overall experience. What hurt the room, though, was that we had a few stops because of tech malfunctions. Luckily, they were resolved quickly, but some room mechanics also felt a little wonky and did not activate properly when pressed. Overall, Capital Treasure was a solid room with a good theme, nice tech, and decent puzzle flow, but it could use some improvements. I think touching up the set and puzzle pieces would help a lot, especially making certain elements feel more “hidden” and secretive than they currently are. A solid 3/5.

One of the best escape rooms that we've done! It stood out for three reasons: (1) The puzzles were creative and varied, and there was a lot of content for the 60-min room (2) There was a lot of tech, and it worked well -- mechanisms were not finicky (3) Our host was great! Super enthusiastic and knowledgeable

Stoked to see another great escape room company in Sac. We did the room with our teenaged niece and nephew, and it was a great way to spend the afternoon with them. Super inventive concept, great design, challenging but forgiving.
Gabriel was a lovely, enthusiastic host. His pride in the room was infectious.

Seems like a boring hallway/big room at first, but like everything in the room had a purpose and things unlocked and opened everywhere!! Very unique and cool puzzles for the most part and I had a great experience. Great intermediate room, and flowed pretty nicely.

Fun room with good flow. Fun set theming and vibe. Puzzles were logical and well executed. Nothing too flashy here, but a really fun room overall.

One laser puzzle and some puzzle elements are very low to the ground. Some with more severe mobility issues will have some problems

I absolutely loved this room. This is a perfect room if you’re wondering what an escape is like. All of the puzzles are politely intuitive, and there’s always something to do so you’re never sitting around. This is a must do room if you’re ever wanting to do an escape room. Gabriel was super nice, and hilarious.

What looks to be a nondescript hallway turned out to contain a surprising number of satisfying interactions. Puzzles felt pretty reasonable, though (as usual) we did have a search fail at one point. The theme felt cartoonishly overstated, but whatever, I'm not here for the plot. Somewhat unusually, Neo Escape has no waiting area to hang out in, just hallways. Of their games, I preferred Capitol Treasure over Haunted Train because the puzzles felt smoother.

Come on, this isn't a save-the-world scale story even though it's presented as one. I would buy a heist or treasure hunt or something.

When we went, there was plenty of space in parking garages and on the street, but it seems like a touristy area so I imagine it can get crowded.
