EscapeReview
54 escape rooms
In this room, as members of the police force, your mission is to capture the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar. The atmosphere is built up using large amounts of money, drugs, and weapons, but we felt it was a missed opportunity that the objective was just to escape the room at the end, rather than actually capturing Pablo. Be aware that the room gets very hot when the weather outside is warm. We were allowed to leave the door open, which provided a bit of air circulation. The puzzles are creatively constructed, and several of them gave us a good challenge. There was great variety among them, and a solid connection between the puzzles and the room's storyline. Unfortunately, there were also a couple of puzzles that seemed illogical to usβone of which the gamemaster even admitted he always has to give a hint for. The puzzle design is linear, which limits how many people can work simultaneously. Especially during the first few puzzles, we were standing very close together to solve them. Therefore, we recommend a team size of 2β4 people. The room shows signs of long-term use, so several of the props are worn and could use some serious maintenance. However, even though you don't get to capture Pablo and the room shows its age, we were well entertained, and the puzzles featured some great gimmicks.
