Celebrating a birthday is always fun, especially when you get to break into an old abandoned building which once housed a whimsical and fun animatronic rat - Cheesie. Unfortunately something seems to have happened to the rest of his friends. Will you join the band and party with Cheesie? Or will this birthday be your last?

This was my 5th 60 to Escape Woodfield room (only one left to do is JP), and Cheesie’s lived up to the hype. The room was not as hard as anticipated, but our group of 6 came prepared, and were very organized with our game play. The rooms (4) were super cool and it felt like you were in an old abandoned Chuck E Cheese, and the games they had in the room were actual, still functioning arcade games. The stage with the animatronic Chuck E was very cool and added to the theme and story. I did not feel this room was scary at all, but thought it was a really cool atmosphere. Game had a great flow and the puzzles all made a lot of sense, where we took great notes of items we identified, and then made connections with those things identified earlier. The use of gum was especially cool for a certain puzzle as you would totally see this when you were a kid. Room was a lot of fun and satisfying for everyone in our group as we all contributed to many of the puzzles. Our GM (Jacob) was phenomenal and very enthusiastic before and afterwards when talking about the room and his favorite rooms, and his clues (I think we used 2-3) were great to give us a confirmation or slight nudge in the right direction (as opposed to giving us a direct answer). Customer Service at this Woodfield location has exceeded my expectation each time we have visited, as the GM’s seem to be having just as much fun as we are as they are watching attentively and rooting us on. 60 to Escape Woodfield is an amazing location for people of all levels of ER experience, and all of their rooms are Hollywood quality and a lot of fun. You just feel happy when doing rooms at Woodfield. Can’t wait to do JP and a new room which may be coming later in 2025.

We had a blast (from the past) with this game. The animatronic was great, and added to the post-pizza-party-apocalypse vibe of the room. The room had more searching than the two others we played at this location, but the puzzles were logical and cleverly fit the Cheesie’s theme. We especially had fun with … how to put it…? “getting the band back together” (to use a non-spoiler euphemism). We played with two and made it out with 5 minutes, even though we aren’t speed demon puzzle solvers. Overall, just a really fun game. I can’t decide whether I love this one or Lockbuster more.

Great experience! If you ever wanted to break into a Chuck E Cheese after hours when you were a kid, don’t miss this one!
Good flow. Enjoyed all of the puzzles.
Loved the atmosphere. The animatronic mouse really made the whole experience awesome.
Staff was great.

I wouldn’t say there was one “wow” event or puzzle, but overall it was such a great experience. The animatronic just sold the whole vibe of the experience, which I guess was pretty interesting and different. Many of their rooms have animatronics of some sort that drive the experience.
Elements were well themed for the story for sure even down to a functional old pay phone. Definitely memorable.
Hard
Medium to hard.. we used a couple hints, but might have escaped without them.
High tech
Lots of tech in this room. Only a few actual locks. Plenty of special effect and theatrical moments.

If Five Nights at Freddie’s scares you, be warned. Definitely a creepy scary factor to this room.

If animatronic puppets make you uneasy definitely don’t do this room. I was terrified the entire time. If you can get past your fears then you’re in for in for a fun and challenging room. Make sure you read everything and search thoroughly!

One of the best vibes I’ve ever gotten from a game. Cheesie is absolutely the centerpiece of the experience, and is one of the best things I’ve experienced in escape room history. People are saying it’s like Chuck E. Cheese, but I very much got Five Nights At Freddy’s vibes from it. Some of the puzzles were more search based, which weren’t super fun, but the rest of the experience was fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone near Chicago.
Lots of search based puzzles, but some very strong and fun puzzles mixed in.
One of the best sets I’ve seen in a while. Creepy, dingy, unsettling, and just generally perfect.

Rating: 4.5/5 Fantastic room, especially the atmosphere, the cool animatronic character, and puzzles. The set was immersive and high quality, definitely had the right vibe for a creepy Chuck E. Cheese-type place. Puzzles were varied and fun, most of them fit the theme well with lots of tech and very few padlocks. Difficulty felt about right and the room flowed well. There were fun moments that made us laugh. Overall, no real negatives to the room, I think the only potential improvement would be if they included a stronger narrative/story. It's definitely playable with two players, I'd recommend 2-4. "Spooky" is an appropriate classification, there were no jump scares. My ranking of 60 to Escape rooms (all locations) I've played so far starting with my favorite: 1. Cheesie's Pizza Party ❤️ 2. Invasion ❤️ 3. Mystery Manor ❤️ 4. Hidden Temple ❤️ 5. Blast From The Past 👍 6. Arctic Expedition 👍 7. Magic Heist 👍

So it’s my birthday at the time of posting this and my family did this escape room and wow. I was so impressed, it was a milestone for me because it was my 20th escape room and it was incredible. The set was so immersive and the story was incredible. This was my first time at 60 to Escape and I am 100% coming back. Customer service was also incredible. Great Job 62 Escape. Legendary Room.
