Vampire Hunter Room

The game is supposedly there “hardest” game. This was our 3rd game we played here and I would say the only thing that made it “hard” was the 15-20 different locks in the 2 rooms. One of the locks when we came in was actually not even put back on and was just open on the ground. There was no real story flow on this game. Things were all vampire related but the only puzzle that had any story to it was one relating to the blood line and some photos in the first room. We often felt lost after finishing a lock because we had nothing to direct us to where to go next. Over all it was fun but I would give it a 7.3/10

It’s probably time for them to retire or refurbish this room. The locks are so old most of the numbers have rubbed off (and there’s a LOT of locks in this one) and many of the puzzles aren’t difficult because of their content—but just because they’re so warn down. Could have been a fun little room but was mostly just frustrating.

Fun room that challenged my party of 2. We still escaped in 33 minutes and was harder than someone their other rooms. We had some annoyance with one puzzle but it can be overlooked with a cool room vibe and some unique puzzles. Didn’t blow us away but a good solid room if you’re in town

Fun room, lots of puzzles, don’t do it with more than 6 people. The atmosphere is interesting and they have some unique puzzles. My only gripe with the room is the amount of lock based puzzles, basically every puzzle in the room is lock based so it can be overwhelming with the amount of different locks you need to try putting codes into.

Simple lock based room, but fun! Would recommend no more than 4-5 people so it isn’t too crowded.

We linked up with other escape enthusiasts for this one and we maxed out the player amount for the game. We won but I think we did so too quickly owing for the large amount of veterans. I definitely recommend a smaller group size but we still had fun taking on the vampire. We knocked out a lot of the games over the course of two visits. The location is clean and in the heart of downtown New Orleans so very easy to get to if you need a break from sightseeing to do something indoors. The staff were friendly and had lots of great recommendations of things to do in the city.

Lots of puzzles with number and letter codes. Pay attention to details and you will know where each key and code goes to unlock the next clue. The theming was fantastic. A little dark and spooky. Overall a great room
