Houdini

Fun room that is very different. The puzzles fit the theme very well, but are not too difficult. The atmosphere is nothing too crazy, but also fit the theme pretty well. Thinking about how some escape rooms are very puzzle heavy and others are more an experience, I would put this one on the experience pile. There are some pretty memorable moments.

I rate this escape experience a 4/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). The set/theme did not entail much but had some pretty cool experiences scattered throughout. There was a bit of Houdini trickery in the beginning that took us WAY too long and required a helpful hunt. I give the set/theme 1.5 pts. Again, not much to it but the 'magical' experiences we were part of made up for that. The puzzles were few and relatively easy when you get the idea so 1 point here. I really enjoyed the room because of the fun and unique experiences it provided so 1.5pts here.

We did this with four people. It was so fun. You can have five people, and it would be a good number as well. The puzzles were not terribly easy, but not too hard as well.!

We absolutely loved this room! There’s a lot of reviews about faded paint on one of the puzzles, and while that was true, we were still able to figure it out and it didn’t affect the gameplay. Our game master Allison was one of my favorites I’ve had. She gave great clues and was very very friendly. It was a great room for two people, but there are times when the party gets separated, so it may not be great for your first escape room. The puzzles were more on the easy side, but overall it was an exceptional room with straightforward yet fun and exciting puzzles. I would 100% recommend it to any escape room enthusiast!

My main issue was the wear and tear on one of the puzzles. Pretty much solved it by sheer luck. And some other features

I can’t possibly give a negative review to a room with so many fun and memorable moments. But as other reviews have said, the room is a little dated and in need of some maintenance (one particular puzzle-critical touch up is very necessary) My group completed it in 27 minutes. Difficulty might be more suitable for newer escape room players.

Hmm, it was ok. I think, perhaps back in the day, it would have been better. I second the previous reviewer in that the game has seen better days. The wear and tear is visible and needs an upgrade if it would be continued to be promoted. One of the rooms was warm and I we did played in the evening (can't imagine what it would be like during the day). And, our crew was scrambling to figure out the next puzzle to get our member out of that sauna. Unfortunately the puzzle to get them out was pretty scuffed and illegible. We managed to finish the game witb 25 min to spare. As I'm typing this, I also realized we weren't offered a picture. Every escape room we did to-date had offered us a photo...just found it odd as I'm typing this.
