"Do you want until Death separates you, to be faithful to Her for all days?" The Headless Horseman. A story, a folk tale, a legend. Or is it? Here in the quiet valley known as Crow Hollow, we know the truth. The Horseman is real and is a source of constant concern. Evil is an opportunist. It strikes only when the conditions are right. And this year the conditions have been perfect... Heavy rains this summer have left the crops decimated and decaying. The only things that flourish in these conditions are the fungi. The king of fungi in this area is the Crow’s Claw. The Crow’s Claw is strange in the fact that not only does it spread by releasing spores into the air, but it also grows a root system. A root system that has been found to be a mile long at times. It is in years like this that they arrive. The Harvesters. They collect the fungus by the thousands, depositing their rotting flesh at the mouth of the Horseman’s Tomb. The smell of death and decay permeates the air. Evil stirs, the air goes cold and the Horseman arises. Now as you stand at the entrance of that very tomb, will you be able to enter? Will you make it out? Do you feel the cold breath of the earth keeping you from entering? Is that the night chill raising the hairs on your neck? Or is it the cold blade of the Horseman?

LMFAO I went here with such high hopes since they’re rated so high and claim to be New Yorks BEST… yeah none of that is true. They advertise 13 attractions but that’s false. The hayride is terrible and the weird narration with the monotone “woman” served 0 purpose, 8 of the other 12 remaining attractions all take place in a corn field lol. It’s literally a giant corn field with 8 small areas with a different theme… that should be considered 1 attraction as it’s 1 cornfield and they’re not separated at all… not even by a sign. Then you have a motel and diner that are connected yet deemed as 2 separate haunts, then a manor and finally an area with carved plastic pumpkins which is apparently an attraction. STAY AWAY FROM HERE unless you like being scammed.

The Headless Horseman haunted attraction in upstate New York is EPIC. I had wanted to go for years so I flew to NYC, took the train to Tarrytown, rented a car in Sleepy Hollow (fitting), and then drove the 70 miles to Ulster Park to experience these attractions. It was well worth the trip. On arrival you will find a veritable Halloween village where you can buy snacks and fall themed beverages. There is also shops selling all sorts of cool Halloween knick-knackery. It was awesome. Candy apples, cider and Frito chili pie? Sign me up. Once you make it through the gauntlet of amazing merch and swag you will find the attractions. Start with the Hayride which is a lot of fun. They have hosts on each ride that narrate the action and ours was hilarious. After they hayride just keep knocking out the attractions while taking bathroom and snack breaks as needed.
