Nevermore truly mystified me. I’ve played many premium games, most flashy and exciting, but this game instilled such a rare blend of cozy and eerie feelings akin to actually curling up and reading Poe. The puzzles themselves were so beautifully layered and engaging, I couldn’t get enough. Combine that with one of the most fully realized takes on a haunted manor set (complete with impressive yet tasteful special effects), I couldn’t get enough of this game. Very few games play In this territory, that being beautiful restraint, but it’s clear Nocturne Adventures had a clear, cohesive vision that they more than achieved.
One of the most fluid games I’ve played - so many fun puzzles and everything was designed with the utmost care.
Nevermore struck a perfect balance between eerie and non-threatening, somewhere that was dreary but never unpleasant to be in.
The owners and our hosts were some of the most passionate people we’ve met. The game was ran, performed, and debriefed flawlessly.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Genuinely magical in ways many games either don’t attempt or don’t get close to.
Not only an elegant adaptation of The Raven and the rest of Poe’s stories, but also genuinely affecting in its subtle storytelling.
Because of the generous time limit, there’s never too much pressure, but the puzzles weren’t easy either. There’s a good blend of layered design and accessible theatrics.
There’s some locks, but also a lot of magic behind the scenes.
Depends on skill level. For experienced teams, you’ll want a smaller group for a more intimate experience.
Spooky in the sense of theme. There’s nothing actively frightening.
Really, any age can enjoy this room.

Despite the unusual placement, there’s signage out front to indicate you’ve got the right house.
