111 escape rooms
The biggest issue with playing The Final Cut for us was that we played it on a Saturday afternoon in June in Arkansas WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! The popcorn place that was attached to this escape room is being turned into a restaurant and the electrician was still working out the shared power kinks. Had we known the AC was out on such a hot day, stuck in a room for an hour, we might have postponed our visit (However, since we drove all the way from Maumelle to Cabot, we did take the time to play the only other room we hadn't played...also with out AC -- glad I wore jeans that day). With that said, The Final Cut was a fun room to play. The game only being a single room is always a little disappointing, and we used just about everything in the room at least once, but the puzzles were both challenging and engaging. The horror movie theme wasn't too over the top, but it was very well put together. The room was very linear which allowed us to concentrate on the puzzles and not try to figure out what came next. Bring a good crew and get ready for a fun experience and some challenging puzzles.
Gameplay
The game is very linear. The puzzles were difficult but once we determined what we were looking for solving each made sense. Good integration of the movies.
Atmosphere
Customer service
The GM was excellent. He was apologetic about the lack of AC and helpful at the right times during the game.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
We normally shy away from anything scary or gory, and despite the theme, this room was neither. However, it was fun and engaging to play against a backdrop of old horror movies (which most of us had chosen to never see, but were aware of).
Story
Difficulty
Hard
Definitely a challenging room. Very few of the puzzles were obvious. Most required taking a look at everything available and deducing an answer instead of just seeing something and that being the code.

Ideal number of players
4
We played with four: three very experienced players and one newer player who caught on quickly and was value added. An additional player or two might be helpful to break some of the puzzles loose.
Scary
Not scary
Other than the horror movie theme, it really wasn't scary at all.
Minimum age
12
Twelve due to the horror movie theme. Otherwise, nothing scary or inappropriate to the content.
