Violent murders at The Blind Tiger interrupt the Prohibition-era revelry on Memory Lane. A dangerously addictive new cocktail named The Devil’s Elixir seems to be at the root of the mayhem, but where did it come from? The answers may lie at the heart of the extravagant Argive Hotel, where many have checked in… but none have checked out.

I remember enjoying the house, but can hardly remember any details. The Goring 20’s scare zone surrounding it was much more fun!

After two years of build-up thanks to the Goring 20s scare zone and a mystery surrounding the Devil's Elixir, Room 13 ultimately was a major let-down. The experience felt last-gen, with no impressive standout set pieces or plot points. Guests wander around a hotel with various degrees of detail. Sound design was off, with a repetitious track that got tiring after a few minutes. Many rooms felt neglected and lacked attention to detail, which did not immerse me into the maze at all. I give kudos to the scaffolding area, with an effect that made me feel like we were high up the building, and the conspiracy theorist's room with all the evidence was brimming with detail. The entrance to the maze being behind a building to mimic a speak-easy was cool. But the climax and reveal of the source of the Devil's Elixir was disappointing. Equally baffling was that guests immediately exited into the arcade, a colorful technologic juxtaposition that did not mesh well with the 20s scenery. Overall, Room 13 was a missed opportunity that tasted extra bitter due to its years of buildup and debut at the 50th anniversary.

I like it but don't love it. The atmosphere doesn't seem to change much and the same music through out doesn't help. It's like a slow zombie march of music. It has some good points like the bar scene. The line needs to be reworked. The first time we went on it we could not find the line and it took over 2 hours. Line control let 20 to 30 front of the line in for every 2 people in the Normal line. I still like it just don't love it.

New maze this year. Unfortunately had poor traffic flow and little scare actors. The concept was cool as a hotel but this was the most disappointing one of the night.

For a new maze this was a let down. There were high hopes as you first enter the bar and the lobby of the hotel. It was giving Tower of Terror vibes! The whole story revolves around the Devils Elixer. Every room you enter was the same. There’s another bed, another bathroom, another elevator, another hotel guest or bellhop. The music was the same two notes throughout the whole maze. The energy should parallel the Goring20s scare zone. I hope this maze get better in the future.
