Temporarily Closed - In this reimagined version of the fan favorite, classic characters return to invade Camp Snoopy, but with an updated twist. Guests will again encounter the King and Queen of the realm, maniacal Jesters, brutal Barbarians, wicked Wizards, and lawless Peasants, but they’ve all returned with an onslaught of fresh terror. All Hail the King or suffer the wrath of The Gauntlet!

Some cool displays set up, but I never see many actors back here. They need to have more actors there to scare people to make this something you could actually call a “scare zone,” rather than just a walkway between different areas of the park.

While conveniently located, the $35 price tag leaves you feeling angry, ripped off, and taken advantage of. Definitely carpool if you can.

Prepare to be spooked. The Knott’s actors are waiting around every turn and know how to pop out at just the right moment to make you jump. The set design is highly detailed and designed for terror at Knott’s Scary Farm. A few cons: the mazes are all very loud with sound effects and music that do little to add to the ambience of fear but do make you want to get out quicker. There is high amount of gore in most of the mazes. We generally prefer haunts that rely on spine-chilling creepiness rather than ritual slaughter. But to each their own. The scare zones are where the scares are at! So definitely head there with your scaredy cat friends.

Even though there are few monsters roaming they make up for it with big personalities. They are funny and spooky at the same time. Enjoyed walking through.

This scare zone is a KSF classic and it’s been resurrected this year to celebrate KSF’s 50th anniversary. It’s replacing the previous scare zone, The Hollow. I really wanted to like Gauntlet since it’s a medieval theme but it felt like it was missing something. The monsters were amazing. Each one had something to say to us when we walked by and their costumes were pretty cool. It was like a dark renfair. I may have to return and do a couple walkthrus or just sit and watch to take it all in. They do a secret show with the sliders around 1030 and it ends with a performance from a fry line. It was pretty cool
