I appreciated all the pop culture references, but I wasn’t big on the humor. I’m a fan of offensive humor, but it has to be profound or at least clever. This show is neither, it’s dumb and offensive purely because it’s trying as hard as it can to be offensive. It’s no South Park, that’s for sure.

This is a crude adult humor. Viewer Discretion Advised. I love the Hanging and this year they knocked it out the park with its return

It had some fun moments but there have been way better Hangings in the past with non-stop action. It seems like they played it safe this year. They checked some boxes (like making fun of Disney and crowd engagement). They have so much content to work with but it fell short for me. Plus the venue seating were benches and wasn’t comfortable. I was disappointed by who they hung…it should have been multiple hangings to catch up for the Hangings absence.

I've seen many hangings being I've gone for 38 years. I've experienced the witch hanging of the 80s with the funeral March of monsters leading her to the stage. Which was my very favorite. Experienced it when it changed to movie horror characters and even that was pretty good. But even though I've seen them when they started killing off the people that were popular or in headlines that year I just don't laugh or enjoy it as much. I still watch it though. One thing I did like this year was the tribute to pee wee Herman. It was nicely done and no harm came onto him. I was hoping for the 50th they would of done a flash back to a older hanging. I will still watch them in the future but my heart is always with the witches.
