Home All Alone

Not good.

This room wasn’t bad but not great. The theming was pretty cute. I’ve done 2 other rooms at the same location and enjoyed those more

We tackled the Home Alone themed room as a family of four and had a really fun time. The room is very linear and easy to follow, which made it great for playing together without stepping on each other’s progress. The set design and callbacks to the Home Alone movies were done well and added a lot of charm. Although the room feels a bit dated, fans of the films will definitely appreciate the little details throughout the experience. Our game master was awesome. Super friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better from the start. We ended up getting out with over 30 minutes left and didn’t need any hints, so for experienced escape room players it may feel on the easier side. That said, it was still enjoyable and well put together. If anything, we wished there were a few more puzzles or a way to extend the experience for groups that move quickly. Because of that, the price can feel a bit high if you breeze through, so catching a discount would make the value even better. Overall, this is a great beginner friendly room with solid puzzles, fun theming, and a welcoming staff.

Great homage to the Home Alone genre, references in every space you look! Puzzles were fun and our GM was ecstatic to help us. Would suggest 4 for this!

I shared this in the other review but I would suggest that Cinema Escape Rooms do same day bookings with discount codes for the escape room enthusiasts. It would have incentivized us to do the other rooms at this location. Unfortunately, their policy is that you have to book your second room right after your first room, which risks another group taking that time slot. Our group ended up only doing two in this location (out of four). As for the room itself, this experience actually exceeded my expectations. The theming of the room matched the puzzles and I loved the Easter Eggs from the Home Alone franchise. The puzzles were of medium to hard difficulty, and we found ourselves struggling in the first room, but picking up momentum in the second room. This would be a good room to do over the holidays or for a family friendly time! I would recommend this room for the nostalgia of watching a childhood movie and for the puzzles.

Family friendly escape room. A good room for beginners. It was a cute Christmas room. We made it out with plenty of time. Did it with three people.
