Having not done the normal treehouse, I had a lot of fun in the Christmas version! The set was gorgeous and the effects were super fun. I will say you can tell the puzzles are part of a temporary room since they mostly were locks and relatively simple. Fully understandable why, it was still a amazing time! I really canβt undersell the set. Also I gotta shoutout our fabulous GM, Cloud. The room splits up the group and we were all calling for help at the same time. Cloud was super attentive and juggled all of us constantly bothering them with ease.
Fun for a holiday room! Mostly locks and looking for items
Cloud did a fantastic job and made the experience! I did another room with Dreu and Ben and they were awesome as well.

Cute Christmas additions to the room, although I have not done the base game yet. Easy to tell that it's been added to, which isn't a problem, but does slightly distract. Otherwise solid game and good for Christmas conversion.

We haven't done their very popular Treehouse yet, so discovering the grand room was a fun big visual surprise! We each had different puzzle tracks, so it was fun to feel like little elves with missions. The puzzles were a good variety, not overly hard, and my puzzle track was more physical (in a good easy way, not in a Jason Momoa way). A lot of fun, my favorite thing really being the visuals and heart gone into the spirit. Will definitely be back for post-holiday treehouse!

My family visited for Thanksgiving and were dying to try the "magical troll treehouse" I had played before and told them about. Imagine my surprise when I went to book and saw it had a Christmas version that was majorly different than the original! I loved this game in its original form, and I love the holiday version too. I really enjoy the aspect of following a path of puzzles, but set in a way that the group can either split up, or work together. Plus, the set is GORGEOUS. Everything Confusion puts out is original, beautiful, and so much fun.

This was an overall amazing room. If youβve played the treehouse, I totally recommend you do this one. I dare say this was better than the original treehouse, but I may have a small Christmas bias. From the difficulty of the room, I would recommend that beginners should try other rooms here and work their way up to this one. There are SO MANY puzzles. - Please Note: 1.) The room has been dimmed due to the storyline, it is not pitch dark but it may be a little difficult to see. A member of your group will receive a pinch light and there will be lanterns provided for you! 2.) If you have played the original treehouse and you are worrying about puzzles being the same, they ARE NOT the same! All of the puzzles are different and they all revolve around Christmas. 3.) A note universally for escape rooms, but especially for this room, donβt be afraid to ask for help! With a room with so many puzzles, some with not so clear paths, itβs alright to get lost and need help. - Overall, an amazing room (like I said in the beginning). If youβre looking for a family friendly room thatβs challenging, this is a great room for you. Those who have played the treehouse, YOU NEED TO PLAY THIS!! Those who havenβt, YOU STILL NEED TO PLAY THIS!!
Gameplay was pretty good, there were a few unclear paths but it still flowed really well.
The set design was on point. Really immersed me and my group into the story.
GM was amazing!!

Not just your average Christmas room, there is so much more with this room!!
Story and puzzles merged together and made sense.

If youβre a beginner, just try some of the other rooms at Confusion before you attempt this one.
Mixture of both! Such a good use of both high tech and mechanical puzzles.

Overall, a really amazing room and we had a fantastic time. The owner and game master was wonderful. The room design is stunning and so immersive. Important to note that this is a 70 minute room, not the standard hour. A few hiccups for us: - The lighting is dim. It lends to the overall ambiance, so I get it. They did provide two of us with clip flashlights, but it was impossible for one person to pinch the light to operate it while also trying to work a lock. One lock in particular had very very tiny numbers and we only had one person in our group of four who could both read it and turn the tiny dials. - We struggled quite a bit with the puzzles. That said, we had a very green group. This was my fourth room, another person had done one other, and our other two people had never done an escape room. They were fantastic with hints, but we needed a lot of them. :) - There was no countdown clock, so if you want to know where youβre at on time, youβll need to ask. - There weβre a number of counting puzzles, but no writing device, so bring your memory!! We had a great time and all four of us want to come back to do the regular treehouse when it is back!
There were several counting puzzles, which arenβt my favorite, and no writing tool. The set was absolutely FANTASTIC, but we struggled quite a bit with puzzle flow. It was not an experienced group with escape rooms, so that could very well be on us.

A short section of crawling required, as well as a few narrow stairs and a rope bridge. The rope bridge and stairs could be avoided by part of your group depending on how you divide the multi-linear puzzles.
We had one member of our group with some vision difficulties and many of the puzzles/locks were very hard for her. The room is very dimly lit, though they provided small lights to two of us. Several of the locks had TINY numbers, which was a struggle even for those of us with better vision.
