After gathering at the tavern, your group of experienced warriors decides to adventure on a quest to get the dragon’s treasure. But when entering the first chamber of the dungeon, a magic trap of your arch enemy, The Necromancer, is activated. The spell steals all your special weapons and magical artefacts and hides and locks them on different parts of the dungeon. But what is worse is that it also seals the exit, making it impossible to retreat… Your only chance to escape alive is to adventure into the depths of the dungeon and get back your magical items, as they are your only hope to overcome all the obstacles and traps and, finally, beat the dragon. But be fast because in less than one hour the dragon is going to wake up… and it hasn’t eaten in a while. A Race Against Magic, Time, and Fire

I am very surprised to see this room rated so highly. It was basic at best. The GM just lets us in without saying a word, so we have no clue what this story is about. Apparently we are in a dungeon, however the walls and floor were just painted with one colour and had no texture. Props were simple, and we could even hear the other room next door clearly.

As a fan of both medieval themed rooms and dungeons and dragons it was no surprise this room was right up my alley. The puzzles fit very well into the theme and were quite unique, some I had never seen before. This alongside a good array of skill-based and traditional puzzles meant we were challenged the whole way through. My only gripe would be the story was a little lacklustre for my liking, could really give this room the edge it needs to improve beyond just a standard escape room. An enjoyable experience though and one I would definitely recommend checking out.

A really fun spin on the Dungeons and Dragons series with a big emphasis on clever on-theme puzzles and props. Definitely some trickier solves through this one, we were told the average escape time actually exceeded 60 minutes. The story wasn’t really present but honestly I wasn’t too bothered as the room layout was fun and all the puzzles were really engaging. A really solid experience and one I’d recommend to others!
