Neil Parker comes from a long line of money and power, but little is known about his family's origins. The tyrant's totalitarian regime is very careful with the few details that are told about his ancestors: great battles, a lot of honor and some betrayal... Unsubstantiated rumors say that they were part of the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy, and other stories date back to Genghis Khan himself. But the reality is quite different. The Parkers' origins were humble, and like many stories worth telling, it began in a Tavern. Delve into the story of Neil Ferdinand, the true ancestor of the City tyrant, to discover what started 400 years ago and is still alive in the Tavern of The City Escape Room Barcelona.

There was a lot to explore, and the sets were beautiful. What they have built here is quite lovely. There is also one moving mechanism here that I have seen in a few rooms, but they have done it the best. However, the audio at times was impossible to hear - in general there was lots of loud music or ambient noise. Especially in the final room. The puzzles were varied, and for the most part were really fun. There were times when we could split up and explore and solve, and there were times where collaboration was required. The actor interactions were just ok for me. The start was long winded, and the actor was a bit jarring. Also, we didn’t have time to explore before we were being bossed and told us what we should do. In general I feel the hints came too quickly, when we didn’t really need them. And we finished 20 minutes early, so we were not behind. Overall it was a really great experience.

the game begins like a triumph with an incredibly fun actor interaction, rich sets, pirate adventure, and fun puzzles. And then… the final room (and what a gorgeous final room it is) has the worst audio of any game I’ve ever played. When the climax becomes 20 minutes of “What was that? Could you please repeat what you just said?” something is wrong. Plus something in the final room undid what happened in an earlier room, making it difficult to complete one of the final puzzles. This is a game I’d love to rank higher because so much of it is exceptional. (it was near the bottom of our list for games in Spain)

Wow, this has instantly hit my top 5 games of all time. We loved the story telling, interactions with the actors and epic set design. Puzzles are thematic and heavily focused on team play.

Terrific acting and great sets, really impressive stuff but unfortunately I felt like we were constantly being pushed and every puzzle was basically explained to us so we didn't really do much. The end also needs better speakers because a lot of the time you couldn't really hear what was being said by the recordings. It's a great game, but the constant acting/help just made it a bit less enjoyable for me.

This game deeply impressed us and its one of the best we have ever played. Its a very big world we discovered and everything felt real. The set design is amazing. We felt so many emotions when we discovered the world. A must play game and the best game of our escape room trip to spain! I felt in love with this game!

Huge room with so much to do, incredible sets, and lovely, talented live actors. Solid mix of puzzles throughout, but the main draw is definitely the level of immersion in the set and with the actors. As others have mentioned, the poor sound quality in the final room sours the ending quite a bit, and made some final puzzles a little frustrating, but overall the experience is so unique, and at two hours you really feel like you get your monies worth.
