216 escape rooms
On paper, this game is a pretty basic classic room with simple tech triggers and a pretty vague inventor theme that mostly uses what was likely already in the building, however it feels way more unique while playing. The first thing that makes this game memorable is the really weird location it’s in. This location allows one puzzle to expand beyond the room itself in a way I’ve never seen before. There’s also a really good introduction that makes use of having to get to this location that right away immerses you into the world of this room and makes such a simple environment feel really immersive. Like many older-style games, this game is very challenging, but while in a lot of games this is because of annoyingly hidden objects and cryptic puzzles, everything in this game feels really fair. Nothing is unfairly hidden and the puzzles are really well layered in difficult but smart ways, And then the final act goes all out in set design and really cements this game as an experience-based room (though admittedly this section has my least favorite puzzles). And the final reveal is really funny and I wish more games had a simple twist like it. This is a really good game that makes use of its location to bring you to the era of the building it’s in. It’s a really cool adventure that uses the town’s history with a really good classic escape room.
