The Last Christmas

This room is in the subgenre of “here is a giant room full of puzzles, GO!” I like that type of room but I can see if it might feel overwhelming/not as narratively satisfying. It also had a whole lot of charm, with incredibly cute (?) characters and puzzles to match. Think Nightmare Before Christmas vibes. This is completely family friendly. And a group of 2-4 is perfect. Maybe 4-5 if it’s new players.

Don’t let the Christmas theme make you think you have to do this during the Holidays- you will be pleased with the room in any season from the sheer fact of the puzzles and set being something you don’t want to miss.

Another good room. It was similar to Honeymoon Suite except there were even more puzzles. They did say this room is going away soon, so if you like a Christmas theme and you are around, do it before it’s gone!

I don’t care if it’s 25c outside, I love a Christmas room!! This was a very Tim Burton / Rusty Lake vibe, which I loved! Quite a bit to do so prepare to work a little faster if you’re playing as a duo. More traditional / lock and key room, and non-linear which helps to split up the work. And with that, I’m officially done all of Niagara Escapement’s rooms and sad about it! Hats off to the owners- four phenomenal escape rooms and a testament to how a big space isn’t needed to create a great escape experience. The rooms also manage to feel very different from each other while still carrying that Niagara Escapement “brand” of humour/cheekiness + cohesive storytelling with thematic puzzles. The bar is set!

We decided to do this room after doing Easy Bake Coven. While we didn’t escape we were right at the end with just my wife and I playing. I would recommend this and their other rooms to play.

We had so much fun in this room! Logical puzzles and satisfying game play… we loved it!
