Jack the Ripper

So this was an interesting one. The immersion and build was beautiful. There was awesome fx throughout and great ambience to help really bring you into the setting. For game play, we went from concerned we might not finish to accidentally solving the last puzzle skipping two-three bigger puzzles and finished the room in 40 minutes. We had enough information to solve a puzzle, unbeknownst to us - that was the final puzzle. I did enjoy the room up until that last bit. I would highly recommend The Collector & Cremlocke if you are here. We played them recently and they were fantastic rooms. Tidbits: Rebooking discount Tight parking (there is parking across the street behind Red Robin which is a 1/3 block walk so very easy walk) Lots to eat/drink near by Escape Game is in walking distance

We only got 3 hints and when we asked for the fourth hint the girl sarcastically said if we dance. Well My husband was not dancing so she never gave us a clue. We paid a lot of money and should get a clue when we want one. Also the room did not make much sense. A hidden door that isn’t even in the room with the clue. First room we have not gotten out of in 2 years with over 100 rooms done.

If this had a few more puzzles and a signposting rework (especially in the last room), it would be great. As it stands, the game is just too short, with a very confusing last puzzle (it's easy to solve the last two puzzles out of order which causes an Brupt end that doesn't fully make sense). We were all surprised that the game was over when it ended. The scenery was excellent in the first room, but tapered off by the last room, which felt empty by comparison. (The location of each room plays into the solution of a end-puzzle, but it isn't obvious - the GM had to explain it to us afterward). There was a particularly cool puzzle in the second room, and the third room has a lot of potential. Needs more beta testing and this could be great.

Super fun! Story flowed! Some puzzles confusing but other than that we had a great time and story was very interesting!

Not my favorite room. Interesting scenic and storytelling, but poor puzzles that relied on vague hints in the room and lots of logical leaps. There were a few puzzles that had been removed causing more red herrings. One puzzle was broken (objects wouldn’t stay in a slot) and the GM told us it was “an extra challenge” that we all had to hold the pieces in.

Zero of the puzzles made sense. There was no flow to the room at all. The puzzled relied more on "assuming" then any clues given. It was pretty, and that was the only positive thing i have to say about this room

this was probably one of my least favorite rooms i’ve ever done. the puzzles were not good there was no clear direction on what to do at all. we spent most of the time trying to figure things out just to ask for a clue in the end.

Room could use some more puzzles. At least two or three more.

Excellent theme, fantastic gamemaster. Lockbusters is widely known for their craftsmanship and themes, and they didn’t disappoint. The owner should be awarded. The room was appropriately themed, and besides a bad pre-room lock directive by the gamemaster, the room was novel and fun. Each challenge was appropriately themed, the reliance on of-the-era tech (radio, wire, apothecary items) was fantastic. A few non-obvious solutions and have to find it searches - made it challenging, some may dislike those moments.
