Grandpa Jim's Cabin

My 10 year old daughter and I have done more than 30 escape rooms together. Because we're two people, we don't usually expect to escape and while we did not escape this room we were able to get through many of the puzzles and had an amazing time. The setup felt unique, we loved the theme and all of the references to Sasquatch. There is a lot packed into the room, as others have said not all props are actually used in solving puzzles but they definitely add to the atmosphere and we didn't get thrown off too much. Additionally, the owner is such a nice person and was super understanding when we called with a last minute emergency that made us nearly 20 minutes late. We definitely plan to go back and try to finish the room and also do the others. If you're in the Seattle area I definitely recommend taking a side trip to Monroe for this one.

Tons of puzzles! Somehow we beat it with 7 seconds to spare, only 2 hints so pretty well put together room all said. Lots of stuff in the room that doesn’t have to do with the puzzles, but after a few minutes it’s not hard to tell the difference btw red herring and actual part of puzzle I though (we have been in rooms where it’s REALLY hard to distinguish but our intuition was correct 80% of the time in this room which was good enough). Really nice proprietor, would do their other room!

Cute idea, waaaaaaayyyyy too many red hearings and poor design where it was difficult to know if you had the right code for the right puzzle box.

This room was a roller coaster, toms of puzzles, and theming is fun and engaging. We barely completed the room and needed a few nudges along the way, be prepared to think outside the box and don’t be shy to try codes. This room is packed to the brim, so you’ll need every second you can get. The owners of this shop are awesome, it’s clear that they’re passionate about escape games and I greatly look forward to seeing their evolution over time.
