Bradley Brooks is dead. Last night, he and his fellow camp counselors met for a bonfire to kick off their upcoming session at Camp Ashburne. When the group returns to camp the following morning, they make a gruesome discovery: Bradley’s charred corpse lying in the embers of the fire. The police are quick to rule Bradley’s death as an unfortunate accident brought on by too much alcohol. But upon discovering additional evidence while cleaning out a cabin, the camp owner’s daughter, Jemma, contacts you for help. Was Bradley’s death really an accident? Or, as her new clues suggest, was he the victim of a sinister homicide? Something dangerous is being cooked up at Camp Ashburne, and only you can solve the burning case! Do you have what it takes?

This hunt a killer box struggles due to its reliance on an online website to solve all of the puzzles. I personally prefer tabletop experiences that stay completely offline. We made an entire dinner party based around this game which was fun for friends to gather around. There is a lot of reading, which is expected, but be prepared for that eventuality. Overall the game was middling, but the time spent with people as a result of the game was lovely.

The physical puzzles were fun but it was mostly a lot of reading. The computer aspects also didn’t add much to the experience.
