We always enjoy the rooms at this establishment and the staff is always kind and welcoming. We look forward to coming back in September to try the new room!

Gameplay

It was fun and novel and it mostly flowed well. We felt like one part in particular should’ve been explained better. Functionality wise… but mostly great!

Atmosphere

The props and design worked very well with the theme.

Customer service

Dominique was very sweet, funny, and accommodating. She made the experience very pleasant. We are excited that she let us know about the new room coming since we have done them all now.

Game starts blindfolded and in the dark. It's one room, but that doesn't bother us. We were told it was very linear and our group disagrees. Wasn't a very exciting room and many of the puzzles were kind of lame to us. Quite underwhelming but overall we aren't mad that we did the room. I will say that we've never had to use things multiple, multiple, multiple times in 1 room before like we did in this one. It made things a little more unclear in our opinion. It was enjoyable, but underwhelming.

Breakout’s newest room, Kidnapping 2, is a step in the right direction for this company. Historically, the games here have been underwhelming, but this room is a little better than their other ones. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it. It’s only one room with many combination locks and key locks. It was made on a budget like all of the rooms at Breakout, But they’ve started using more tech in their games; better late than never. All in all, it was a pretty standard Asylum room in the dark.

Gameplay

Gimmicky with blindfolds and darkness. We were told the game was "very linear" when it wasn't. That pretty much destroyed the experience for us, but it's okay.

Atmosphere

Nothing to write home about. It's pretty standard, run-of-the-mill escape room stuff.

Customer service

Amber is a gem. We enjoy her. Our game master lacked charisma which set the stage for the underwhelming experience.

Particularly interesting or different

There are some other dark rooms in the northern/central Florida area: Dread at Amelia Island Escapes and Outage at Escape Ventures. These rooms are always made on a budget because the company can get away with using cheap materials since you can't see them. The dark theme is very gimmicky, and there's no creativity involved in building a room like this. Unfortunately, people will keep building them because idiots like me keep paying for them. lol

Story

The story was probably the least imaginative part of this game. You're locked in someone's basement (I guess?), and we never see him, but "he'll be back." It was corny.
