Kidnapping 2: Afraid of the Dark

We have completed and won every other Breakout Games room, so we knew we wanted to do this one ASAP. We were aware of the complete darkness beforehand, so knew it would be difficult but once we had the option of light, it was still difficult and a bit boring. The props and puzzles in this room were not particularly impressive. Also, a couple of our group members hit their heads on the unlocked doors while in the dark. Won’t play this one again but could recommend it to those who want to play an escape room in the dark. New experience, but not a favorite.

My family had a good time at this escape room. It had fairly typical locks and puzzles with some fun and spooky theming. I was a bit of a terror and accidentally knocked out the sound system with a misplaced folder and also almost accidentally dismantled a key prop. Overall a good night out for parents and teens.

I feel very mixed about this room. I guess some puzzles were okay but it’s one room, things were reused multiple times, it’s in the dark the whole time, and naturally when you do get two flashlights, one of the two doesn’t work,lol. It’s billed as this scary theme escape room and truly like…it was kinda thrown together and mediocre. Maybe worse than the original kidnapping. I’m just not a huge fan. But if you just have nothing else to play, go for it.
