In this spine-tingling mystery, you are transported back to October 1984, where renowned author Jane Oliver is found dead in her own home under suspicious circumstances. Despite exhaustive efforts by detectives, it remains unsolved and has become a cold case.

Another amazing room! Do not miss this experience. It’s very immersive since you are driven by the story and the impressive set really ties it all together. I also can’t stress how much a good GM can make or break the game and Emmanuel was amazing. There are a ton of puzzles so watch your time, especially with smaller groups. We were never bored or just standing around, the story breaks make the room so much more fun and they pause your time at these moments so you can pay attention. It really adds to the whole experience. Can’t wait to visit their other locations.
Went with a storyline so the flow was excellent.
Amazing set design! Fun props and some cool special effects
Shout out to Emmanuel- welcoming, friendly, and an amazing GM

Fantastic escape room! Electronic elements are so well integrated that it preserves the Lo-Fi 1980's setting. Interesting and novel puzzles kept our team of three busy for most of the hour, just the way we like it!

This is a unique, story-driven room with some great puzzles and decent set. We really had a good time. Our GM, Jamie, was great, took time to get to know our play style, clue preferences, etc., and chatted with us about favorite rooms, room elements, and other escape room stuff, which was wonderful.
Fun puzzles and an interesting narrative woven into the play.
It is not over the top, almost simple in fact, but well executed.
The GM, Jamie, was very welcoming, and took time to find out our play style and then chatted with us about the room afterwards.

The story was interesting and fun to follow along with.

Our group of 3 had over seven minutes remaining with zero hints. But there were still some puzzles that took time to figure out.
A good mix of both.

4-6 is probably best. It is non-linear and the spaces are large enough to spread out. We played with three with no issues though so a smaller group will work.

The subject matter is a little macabre so it’s probably not appropriate for younger kids.

There is some low lighting during the game, but otherwise I don’t see any issues.

Ink and Ashes is a really good story driven game that combines linear and non linear elements. The room has a good set, and some really great puzzles. I also really appreciate how they handle the story parts, freezing your timer, dimming lights, and locking away puzzles, so that you can enjoy both separately.

Just want to start by saying— Damn!! What a great game! Super immersive atmosphere that never really loses its momentum, especially when you get to some of the later stages of the game. The game flowed super well and the puzzles were unique and interesting, there wasn’t a single time where I found myself bored or frustrated with the puzzles! The room is what I would call non-linear, on account of the fact that you can work on multiple puzzles at once, but it has a more linear through-line that follows you as you solve the murder mystery. Our host Emmanuel was amazing! Super welcoming and accommodating, made sure to ask us beforehand on how we wanted hints or nudges which I really appreciated! Definitely a fun room, wish there were more rooms at this location, especially since the other rooms on the board sound super interesting and driving to Anaheim is a little much, at least for someone like me, but it doesn’t take away from the room experience itself! Seriously the last area of the room was just so so cool. Great atmosphere, amazing immersion, overall 10/10!!

This was a fun room and different in the sense that you really had to follow a story line to solve the room. Flowed well!

This is one of my all-time favorite escape rooms! The whole time you are immersed in the story. I love the layout, the story, and the ability for everyone to be involved in solving the room. We had a group of five and got out with just one second to spare! Looking forward to the rest of the rooms from Exodus.

It's not a high-tech room, but it's so wonderfully executed. The story telling, all the little details they put into each part of this truly kept me immersed in following the murder that took place there.

This is one of our very favorite games! Emmanuel was our GM and he was great. Super nice and friendly. There are a lot of puzzles in this one and we loved that. The story is intriguing and engaging. The puzzles have unique elements. It’s mostly linear so it keeps you on track. But it really uses the full space back and forth. Not scary at all but kinda eerie because it’s a murder mystery. Can’t wait for more rooms here!
