Twisted

Ok, so I definitely didn’t get far in this room. My team only got halfway through and we all have done many escape rooms before. But the difficulty did not at all detract from how fun it was! Now fair warning, this escape rooms fits a very particular sort of niche that I really loved but other people will not at all. For story reasons, the game master will mock, heckle, make fun of, and be extremely sassy to players. I found it super funny but if you are sensitive to insults like being called stupid then I wouldn’t recommend. For people that get a kick out of it (like me) though, this is the room for you! The story is neat and there was only really 1 puzzle that I feel was a bit out there in the way you were supposed to solve it. You REALLY had to think out of the box and even with like 4 hints on the same exact puzzle we still didn’t understand it. Other than that singular puzzle though the room was super fun, innovative, and just weird enough to keep things interesting. Loved the room!

WAY too complicated, and we had a team full of experienced puzzle people! It didn’t have to be like that.

I know it was part of the character and the experience, but the GM went a bit too far with the insults and didn’t read the room. When you’re frustrated solving a puzzle, it’s not fun when the GM is insulting you and calling you stupid instead of providing hints. It kind of ruined the room for us.

This is a more difficult room, but good! The first part is a bit creepy, but not after. This really isn’t a linear room.
