Centuries ago, Mulberry Manor was built as a gift from Edward Mulberry to his wife and children. But in October of 1871, Edward and his children were killed in a cold-blooded massacre; their bodies torn to pieces and scattered throughout the manor. Any who dare to enter since suffered the same short lived fate. You are the only living descendant to the Mulberry family, recently granted the estate. You have read the stories; you have heard the rumors; yet you enter with the wish to amass your fortune. Standing in the very place each victim drew their final breaths, an ominous presence overwhelms you. Desperately you search for a way out but your fate has been sealed; you are trapped; and the horror stories have turned into a nightmarish reality. Will you escape or become the next victim in this spine chilling horror story?

Fun, spooky, and challenging puzzle! My son and I had a blast with this one.

Gameplay

There were a few tasks that you could solve without all of the hints and so it felt like we were going out of order at times and stumped where to go next. But it was super engaging and kept us on our toes!

Atmosphere

Some candles didn’t work and that stumped us. Confused why some were lit and some were not. But great props and design otherwise!

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

It was spooky and included a few jump scare noises.

Story

My son and I had fun scaring ourselves and screaming for no reason. Lol!

Difficulty

Hard

We had a harder time than usual on this one but part of it may be because we hyped the scary up and couldn’t think straight when we felt something was going to jump out at us. Lol!

Accessibility

You must use all senses and the room is very dark. You need a flashlight through a big portion. There is a situation where someone must enter a tight space and close the door. Someone in a wheelchair may have a tight squeeze into a hallway, but would still be able to participate.

I have escaped at Escapology before, but I really wanted to share my latest experience there. My husband and I went with some of our coworkers to tackle the Haunted House room, and it was a fantastic evening! The room has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. The set pieces in the room were really well done. Each area we opened and explored offered a good variety of puzzles that allowed a group of 5 to stay involved at all times. The storyline of the room was engaging, and the only remotely negative thing I could say about the room is that I wanted it to delve into the backstory of the Haunted House even more because I loved what they did give us. I would note that there is a puzzle that requires the use of an Ouija Board to solve it. I don't recall seeing that warning on the site. We had people in our group willing to use it so it wasn't a problem, but if you are like me and won't touch one, you have been warned.

Given the dark nature of the room, a puzzle that uses sound, and the tight spaces at one point I would not say this room is the most accessible room I have done.

the game was pretty challenging but it was manageable and fun with a few helpful nudges. some things were just really out there to see/navigate compared to some of their other games. nonetheless we did have a great time and escaped with about 7 minutes remaining! the atmosphere was questionable when we checked in but got better. the staff that were checking us in were negatively talking about another group that just got out and i didn’t love hearing that. but checking out was a much better environment!

Great room Super fun experience. Spooky not scary. Great immersion, intuitive flow and great variety of puzzles, riddles and activity to do throughout the room Small foot print but they do a lot with little space. 2-3 adult sized humans would be the perfect amount for the room Tidbits: Ample parking Lots to do in the area Rebooking discount for same day second-games

Easily the best room at Escapology. Great set, fun puzzles, and a great use of a small footprint. For a smaller game, this has everything you might expect in a room - good vibes and good set, searching required, teamwork / communication required, and some tough but fair puzzles.

Excellent room! Even though I didn’t escape in 60, it was close. I’d say 2 puzzles are really hard to solve without some guidance.

Gameplay

What a well-themed creepy room!

Atmosphere

The set design is one of Escapology’s best. Definitely creepy. I generally avoid creepy rooms but I wanted to try it. Very immersive.

Over complicate and uses AI for the art in the room. Room felt scary but lots of the puzzles were half assed some were great others make you wonder how they even came to this conclusion. Room is dark and they give you lamps that the battery's fall out easily if you move it to fast or rough. It was Held together with Velcro . One of the props did cut my hand slightly and did mention it to the staff.
