Rating: 4.5/5 - Wow, one of the most innovative sets I've ever seen, plus everything is tech
Pros:
β They do something really cool in this room, it's a unique design. I've seen feeble attempts at this affect probably 10+ times in other rooms but no other company comes close to what they achieved here. Days later, I'm still trying to figure out how they did it.
β Set aesthetically looks great and is highly immersive
β Fully tech based puzzles (everything worked), no padlocks. Despite the tech, they still include tactile/physical interactions
β Great use of audio and special effects
β Fun storyline and progression, I like how the puzzles/tasks relate to the story.
β Climactic ending
β Some nice surprises and amusing moments
β GM is friendly and helpful
Minor cons:
βThe flow can be a bit choppy due to some waiting that's required
βSome of the puzzles weren't that fun, felt a bit tedious
Room is a bit creepy at times with some minor startling moments (no major jump scares) but I wouldn't consider it scary.
I recommend 2-4 players the game is very linear, you can solo this (like I did) but the GM may need to bypass some puzzles that require more than 1 person.
My ranking of Memphis Escape rooms I've played starting with my favorite:
1. Jurassic Project
2. Monsters from the Abyss
3. Shipwreck Cove
4. One Night in the 90s
