Pirates: Wanted!

Unfortunately I waited until their LAST day to play another one of Quest’s rooms. I’m glad I got to play Pirates, especially with our gamemaster Harrison, who was a great and unexpected addition to what we thought was a non-interactive escape room. Sadly putting it in the past tense now, Pirates was rich in its solid build and design. Everything worked properly and was entertaining to work and solve. Never had a bad experience at Quest Rooms, they will be missed.

So bummed these guys are closing. Semi easy room but amazing effects, story, and atmosphere. And our game master Harrison was fantastic.

Everything was really fun except there was one puzzle that didn’t open and we’re sad to see this place go because the set dec was really high quality! Really fun and playful and it was just two of us!

All time record!! We had soooo much fun!! Harrison was our GM and we had so much fun. The room honestly isn’t terribly and the beginning is a little tasky, but I laughed so much in this room.

Good flow, even with the love actor! Great production value! Edvin was such a fun, nice host! Street parking was hard to find in a Friday evening.

The Pirates: Wanted! room definitely had some impressive props and a visually appealing room, along with good mechanics. However, compared to other Questroom escape rooms, we felt it missed the mark. We’ve completed almost every Questroom escape room, and this was the first one that didn’t quite hit the spot. We did it with just two people and still had nearly 20 minutes left, as the puzzles were few and super easy. Additionally, the live actor integration with the story didn’t flow seamlessly, which took away from the immersion. This room might be more suitable for beginners or families with children who want a more laid-back experience. For intermediate or advanced players, it might feel too easy and quick, lacking challenge. Overall, it’s an okay room, but it doesn’t quite hold up to Questroom standards, which we find to be very high for escape rooms.

When researching this room, it was intimidating to see that they only allotted 45 minutes for this room but it is doable! The puzzles were fun and I was worried it would be too childish or overdone but the room still had original elements that adults would enjoy as well! There is a physical element that requires some climbing but not everyone has to do. It would be preferable if only 1-2 people do the physical crawling. Overall, a great experience and it could hold its own in the roster of Quest Room’s new experiences!

Really great set. Clean fun design. Definitely worth playing.
