214 escape rooms
I went in with low expectations for this room, mainly because the idea of a heist escape room didn’t appeal to me as much as other themes. How wrong I was! My partner and I have done a fair few rooms now, but our two nieces (10 and 13) have only done a couple. The difficulty was pitched at the perfect level (3/5) for a family group, with puzzles suitable for all ages. I won’t go into specifics to avoid spoilers, but the room was really immersive, with some impressive set pieces, sound effects and interactive tasks. I found the puzzles to be fairly easy/straightforward for adults, but elevated by the immersive parts of the room. The flow was great, with clear objectives given to us as we progressed through the room. Some technological elements were very fun to interact with, and I have to say we felt throughout like we really were breaking into a high-security vault. Hannah (10) got a little spooked at times by an area of the game that was dark and some of the louder noises, but overall, she really enjoyed the room. I got very attached to a particular tool that was required on a few occasions, and we all enjoyed donning the security jackets. We finished with 17 minutes to spare, adrenaline pumping and clutching bags full of gold. I’d really recommend this room as a great starting point for new players, but also a fun option for seasoned escapers too. So much fun!
