The Ghost of Blackstone Manor

My girlfriend and I have done many rooms prior to this one. If you are new to escape rooms then you may want to have a bigger group, at least 4 cuz there are a lot of puzzles to get through. We did it with 2 but I think they gave us a little more time to finish. It was a great room to do on a weekend. Boggled rooms are not crazy difficult but engage you enough to have a great time navigating thru it. The GMs are super awesome and make the experience overall enjoyable. Highly recommend this room if you like going through a gauntlet of puzzles.

Ghost of Blackstone Manor started off strong as an experience but there were a couple of things that bothered me. There was a puzzle that relied too heavily on the assumption that everyone would know the starting point for a sequence of numbers. The second is the AI art. For a room that had special locks and beautiful props (especially in Key of Destiny), it was a little off putting to see the portraits against the backdrop of the manor. With that said, the puzzles were great and it was nonlinear so groups could divide and conquer. I would recommend 4 people for this experience and everyone would have something to do.

This room was solid, but for a company that uses so many beautiful hand-made puzzles, it was extremely disappointing to see all of the AI art in this room. I thought escape rooms were one place I could get away from this garbage, but apparently not. Their first two rooms were great, but if this is the route they’re going, no chance I’ll be back.

Ghost was a great puzzle gauntlet! With a narrative sending you and your team through a multitude of puzzle pathways, your team can divide and conquer. Nonlinear problem solving that converges toward the end, there is plenty to go around. Beautiful props, high tech puzzles, and a lot of magic and mysticism that is on theme, everything comes together really nicely. As usual with all of Boggled’s games, don’t overthink! Their puzzles are elegant yet so simplistic. Loved the decor and design!
