A very mixed room for me., which ultimately landed below the bar. Loved, loved, loved the decor. A couple of really fun a-ha moments. But the puzzle flow was lacking, and there are a few we likely couldnโt have solved without hints, even given lots of time. With a few hints we were out with 15 minutes to spare, leaving us feeling like there should have been more.
Gameplay
Very mixed for me, but forced to rank, Iโd say slightly below the bar for me.
This was the best aspect, and outstanding work.
The GMs here are always fantastic.
Particularly interesting or different
There were a couple of great new moments, but neither of them were puzzles.
Our group often struggles, and we are always down to the wire, even with hints. We got a few hints this time and were out with 15 minutes to spare. Unfortunately, upon further review later on, while the โanswersโ made sense once we were given the hints, they didnโt flow well enough that we thought we ever could have come up with them on our own.
No traditional combination or key locks
We had 3 and any more than that would have felt crowded
Young ones would love some of the decor, but likely wouldnโt too be much help with puzzles. Probably 12+ for most puzzles.
Physically active
Not at all
Accessibility
Color played a part, lighting was dim, though they provided a lantern (thank you!). The rooms were very โfullโ, meaning physical accessibility (wheelchair, cane or walker) would be nearly impossible.
