The eye, if it was ever considered to be more than a myth, was presumed lost during the Spanish Conquest, but recent expeditions in Mexico’s southern jungles seem to imply that it is, indeed, real – and was purposefully hidden from the invading Spanish!

First time ever at Escape Hunt.  Enjoyed Eye of the Sun God - Props and theming were really good and enjoyed most of the puzzles - needed help with 2 we would never have got!  Darren our GM was fantastic - Enthusiastic and friendly - Have already booked to go back and try their other rooms - you get a 20% discount if you book at the end of your game for next time which is a great deal.

We did not get our own games master so qhen we asked for help no-one answered om several occasions. Then at the end I asked for explanations to spme clues and the person was unable to answer them. Really disappointed.

The room (Eye of the Sun God) visually looked great on entry and staff were all welcoming. The experience of the room itself however, was possibly the most frustrating and worst I’ve experienced. The GM was very likely running more than one room which isn’t an issue but when 95% of puzzles are GM triggered, it becomes an issue and a growing annoyance throughout. We’d do puzzles multiple times to the point my er partner kept telling me I’d tried to do something with an idol in the first room thinking it was placing it on a magnet but after many tries of nothing, it was randomly triggered. 

Both doorways into the next rooms were also confusing to know when they’d been opened as there was no indication of this or how to open them - the 2nd only more clear after being confused by the first one. Lighting is low but I personally enjoy that on rooms so not an issue for me. 

Some puzzles were trial and error and some further on didn’t open anything till it was illuminated and after we’d “solved” it. My main criticism was also that music would change to indicate something opening but there was no understanding of what or where. We often felt like we were missing things to solve puzzles. 

When asking for hints, those we audibly got were explaining something we already knew and we’re generally a vocal team. Our GM then greeted us at the end and pointed to where props were so if you want a pictures together, make sure to ask before they run off. 
Though we had a bad experience, I’ve done other escape hunt rooms at other locations I’ve enjoyed so we will likely return after a few months when hopefully things are operating with a bit more experience.
