One of the most creative themes I’ve ever encountered in an escape room. There was nothing gory, which I appreciated and the room was actually quite sweet. The puzzles were unique and everything worked the way that it was supposed to. This room had the right blend of challenging puzzles without being frustrating. I love supporting family-owned businesses and our game master was fantastic.
5 escape rooms
This was our first room here. Puzzles were well thought out and on theme! Lots of layers to keep you moving in the right direction but challenging enough to not feel like you were just whizzing through them.
Puzzles galore(which we loved!) we had 4 of us working at it might be hard to get through with less people.
The alter design was super creative.
We arrived early and they reset the game in amazing time and got us going quickly. GM was pleasant and informative. We had a wonderful conversation after the game that lead us to this app as we thoroughly enjoy escaping experiences.

This was a really fun room. A lot of puzzles, but on the simpler side (less complex) so it didn’t feel rushed or stressful. The room had a really nice flow and the theme was unique and interesting.

I don’t even know where to begin to explain how lovely this room is! this was our first time here at beyond and i was blown away! this room is so cozy and feels just as it’s intended to be- like the other reviews state- they do an AWESOME job at making use of all the space! the puzzles are challenging and there are A LOT of them- it’s very easy to get lost in time if you get stuck on a puzzle, especially as a small team! our game master was lovely- he did warn us that there were a lot of puzzles and it was going to be more challenging for a group of 2- as their rooms are designed for around 8 people but it was very fun and not too overwhelming! super props to the people here at beyond escape !

It’s so refreshing to come across a room you haven’t already seen a dozen times (don’t get me wrong, I love those Egyptian tombs, too)! The story and the texture of the world The Heart of the Mountain built are really lovely, utilizing lesser known Nordic mythology. Along with the world building, the puzzle design really shone: it’s clear, clean and logical. I think it’s the first game our team of two has ever played where we didn’t need any nudges; not because the game was too easy, but because it felt so well designed (and/or playtested). We did a day trip from Boston to do all three rooms at Beyond Escape and it was well worth the trip. Also, everyone working there from the designer-owners to the GM we met were just great. Would highly recommend as worth a trip!

I would recommend this room for smaller groups who like a bit of a challenge (we did it with just the 2 of us) and larger groups who want a room where there are a lot of different things to be done at once so no one feels like they're just standing around waiting.
When it comes to escape rooms this one was a great one. The story was fun to follow, the puzzles flowed well into each other, and we're challenging enough (I know that one puzzle going to be reworked after we came in for our beta test.)
The room felt very immersive, everything fit so well and was very entertaining. I love the little quirks in the room that show the creator really took time to at small touches!
The staff at Beyond Escape is second to none. Very welcoming, explain things well, and is attentive! We had the pleasure of meeting the GM during our Beta Test of this room and it's clear that he is looking to create rooms that are fun for a whole range of people as he really took our comments about the room to heart. We had a great discussion about it and I came away with a better understanding about why the rooms here are so much fun, he cares about their construction, functionality, and fun!
The plot was very fun, no spoilers but I found one of the "little elements" goofy and could help but laugh. Everything felt coheisive but I'm honestly not surprised as all of the rooms at Beyond are like this!

Heart of the Mountain is a really well-put together room start to finish. The atmosphere is excellent with non-linear gameplay that flows really well. There is a solid mix of puzzle types and tasks so that everyone should be able contribute and enough puzzles that our family of 4 was able to split up without running out of puzzles. Beyond Escape does a great job adding unique elements to their rooms and this one is no different. You can tell the owners really care about creating experiences beyond your run-of-the-mill escape rooms, and their passion really shines through in this room.
Great flow. We never felt like we didn't know what we were doing next.
We really loved the personalized aspects of the room and the hand-crafted feel of the props.
The owners were super accommodating and were happy to answer all our questions.
There were some unique elements that were fun and that we had never seen before.

I am a GM here and I recommend this room for players looking for a bit of a challenge! This room has such a cozy vibe with gorgeous props and fun and intuitive puzzles. Lots of love went into making this room and it truly is a pleasure to run each game :)
