Das Heilige Grab

The next room we played at Finest Escape Bamberg was „Das Heilige Grab“. Although the jungle-themed reception area did not perfectly match the theme of this room, it did not bother us at all. It is beautifully designed and immediately creates a welcoming atmosphere. The game started in a truly unique way. Our game master, Thomas, greeted us in costume and was completely immersed in his role from the very first second. What impressed us the most was how naturally he incorporated our small mistakes and spontaneous comments into his performance. It felt incredibly authentic and made the introduction even more immersive. A big compliment to the designers for this idea and to Thomas for bringing it to life so perfectly. We also really appreciated that he took the time after the game to explain the room and its story in greater detail. The room itself is inspired by the history of the Bamberg monastery and the witch trials. Historical events were cleverly combined into a coherent and engaging storyline, which was executed extremely well. The scenery is outstanding, and at no point did we feel like we were inside a former cinema. The puzzles are varied, well designed, and fit seamlessly into the story. Despite the dark theme, there are a few well-placed humorous moments that lighten the mood without breaking the immersion. This balance keeps the experience engaging from beginning to end. Overall, this is one of the best escape rooms we have played so far, and we can highly recommend it.

Out of the 160 rooms I've created, this is one of the top 3 🥰🥰🥰 What an experience. I can't understand why anyone would give this a dislike. Maybe their beliefs were shaken. Thank you all again ❤️❤️❤️

Not a horror room but a very dark story with some very intense moments which leave you with a chill in the heart. All puzzles and tasks are perfectly aligned with the story and the audio and visual effects create a deeply dark atmosphere. Our game master delivered all live acting bits extremely well which added even more chill to the whole experience. Absolute recommendation for everyone who can handle a dark story…

The Holy Grave by Finest Escape in Bamberg was the twelfth game of our Bavarian Escape Tour, the second of the day, and our eighth room from this company, played with our same team of 4. We were really pleasantly surprised by this room. From the great intro to the final moments, the environment was superbly themed, creating a spooky yet inviting atmosphere that held strong throughout. The story carried the experience beautifully, keeping the immersion alive and even taking some unexpectedly dark turns as we progressed, both figuratively and literally, with the set taking us deeper and deeper into the narrative. The puzzles were fun, well integrated, and flowed nicely, supporting the story instead of slowing it down. Every area we entered added layers to both the narrative and gameplay, keeping all four of us engaged from start to finish. All felt like handcrafted. Highly recommended for all players, though having some experience will help you appreciate the flow and atmosphere even more. Another standout and another TERPECA level experience/quality from Finest Escape.

Another beautifully decorated room with projections, video production, audio, and a lot to explore. Although a dark story, it is not a horror game.

A Bamberg Tale – Mystical and Gripping Set in the heart of medieval Bamberg, this fictional story unfolds with magic, mystery, and a dark, atmospheric charm. Witches, occult rituals, and ancient legends blend into a captivating adventure, featuring realistically crafted props made of stone and wood. A smooth game flow, impressive acting, cinematic sequences, and audio drama elements combine to create an immersive experience – from the very first scene to the dramatic finale.

As ghosthunters we made our way to find out what happened to the last witch of Bamberg. The set design was incredibly well done - it looked insane! The story was very interesting and the actress' play fit into it perfectly. Sadly, in my opinion, the riddles were a tad bit too easy. We did take a long time for one of the riddles due to us not opening something (so 100% our fault), but in general the riddles were really easy to solve. I would have loved it if there was a bit more challenge. But in the end, it's a great room with an insane design and if you're already there because you played Tomb Hunter, then definitely play this room, too.
